So, I was just wondering. What holiday films do people usually watch around this type of year?

I always watch the stop motion films that come on ABC Family. I grew up watching them on VHS and we actually bought the DVD sets with them recently.

My favorite being A Year Without A Santa Clause, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, & Santa Clause Is Coming To Town.:D

And for some reason a lot of people here watch The Great Escape on Christmas day. I have no idea why.

I always like Scrooged with Bill Murray.

The Santa Clause and Elf are very good too.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Rudolph are TV favorites. And, of course, PEANUTS!

It's about time. I was wondering when someone would make this thread. I was half tempted to break my nine month record of being someone who comments on other people's threads rather than instigating my own.

Anyway, like ajrich17901 said, A Christmas Story is pretty much the Christmas movie of all other Christmas movies (in addition to being one of my favorite movies period).

Beyond that, I've always considered Die Hard 1 and Die Hard 2 classic Christmas fare.

I get annoyed when they air the same films on TV every single year.I was about to say I hate holiday films. But actually I like Disney (Mickey's Christmas Carol) and watching House Christmas episodes. Oh, and watching Harry Potter too, makes me feel 11 and I love it.

Definitely It's A Wonderful Life. But I wish they would include the rare "lost ending (http://www.hulu.com/watch/4267/saturday-night-live-its-a-wonderful-life-lost-ending)"...

I don't really have a list of what films.

But some I've watched in my life time that I can remember are:

Home Alone 1 & 2.
Gremlins.
Santa Clause Movies, you know 1, 2 & 3.

I don't mind watching them, but prefer not to, as they remind me of being ill. Considering I always used to be ill before Christmas and would watch a Christmasy film ;)
