Man this is so sad, I can't stop crying. I only had him for about 3-4 months, how can he be dead?! Just a couple minutes ago I decided to give him a little more food and he never " woke up", so I was like, " What's wrong" and I moved his dish, and he was just stiff, dead. This is so awful! I treated him so well, I cleaned his cage out A LOT, and it was super clean, I gave him fresh water, plenty of food, and a lot of attention. I was very picky with what I let him eat too, I dunno what could have happened! It looks to me like he died in his sleep, I dunno. I am so sad though, I haven't even told my parents yet because I don't want them to see me cry. Man this is so hard, my cat ran away so I got Sam, my hamster, and now he is dead. This is so hard for me! :( I always thought that I am a really strong person, but this is just so hard to go through, I was so attatched to Sam, I talked to him every day, I can't believe this!

I'm sorry Melonie.

There's nothing wrong with crying. I wept last year when I thought one of my cats was dying.

Ohh Melonie, I`m so sorry to hear about that :( . I almost started crying when I read your post. It is really hard when you lose a pet. At least you took care of him the best you could. I`m sure Sam knew how much you loved him.

Oh, Mel - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Losong a pet is like losing a family member. At least he had the best home he could've possibly had and you would've made him so happy. I'm praying for you, Mel. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Sorry to hear that... It sounds as though he had the best life you could give him.

I'm sure Sam is probably still with you, even if you can't see him. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

I'm really sorry Melonie to hear your bad news.I used to have a 'russian dwarf' that looked like yours and I was sad too when he died. They are adorable pets or friends in a way. I used to let mine out of the cage once a week to run around and on a few occasions had me looking for him for hours as he could hide in the most tiniest of places. Some good memories you will have, as I'm sure that will help you get through this time. Take care.

I can understand how you feel as I have hamsters at home. When you are attached to one of them so much and it dies it makes you so sad. I had a female hamster called Jerrina I really liked her I used to call her Princess as she was so beautiful. God bless ur hamster and mine hope they are in heaven! :(

Oh... I'm really sorry for that Mel. I know how you feel 'cause I have a cat and I can imagine how it would be. I'm sure Sam is enjoying his second part of his "life" and still loves you for what you have done for him.

That's so sad Mel :(

I once had a guinea pig that died a week after we got her. She'd been fine when she arrived home, then just deteriorated fast until she was gone :(

It's so awful when you lose a pet before it's time is come

I feel a lot better thanks to you guys. We had his funeral last night, we put him in a box that I brought him home in, and then we dug a hole, put him in it, prayed, and buried him. I was crying the whole time though, but I thin it was a sweet funeral. I am starting to feel better now though, because I know he is happy where he is not and I don't feel guilty for any thing I ever did to him because I was the only person who ever loved him. I got him from a pet store and he never has been held by any one until I brought him home and took care of him. He knew I loved him, I talked to him every day and pet him, and he loved me too. I spoiled him so much, I made him a little hamster swing, gave him hamster treats, and talked to him all the time. I think he had a really good life. I really feel like he is in Heaven now because earlier today I was praying and I was like, " Please let him be in Heaven" and I felt like God told me that he was in Heaven right now. God didn't literally speak to me that I could hear with my ears, but He spoke to me in my spirit I think, because I know for a fact Sam is in Heaven right now because I know God told me so. So that is such a great thought. Mathew Croft and Geck-o-lizard, I am sure our hamsters and guini pig are playing together in Heaven. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I bet they are really happy right now. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Melonie I am sorry to hear about your loss. This is one of the tragic downfalls of having pets but at least you made him happy while he was alive. That is all we can do.
