Done a search, but couldn't find a relating thread, so I sought to start one!

This movie may be back in 1999 and 2003 but you must admit that the The Matrix trilogy was a great set of films.

Heck yeah.

Say what you will about Keanu's acting abilities, but I think he was perfect for the role. I thought the story was intricate and interesting too.

I love the Matrix trilogy, although I was very disappointed with Revolutions.

I loved the first movie. I've only seen the second and third part (is it true that these were only thought of after the first part's success?) once, so I don't remember them too well, but I remember not liking them a lot, finding them full of useless special-effects-showoff fillers.

Let us not forget that, while not inventing it, The Matrix clearly popularized 'bullet time' that every franchise now utilizes. :cln:

I can't help but practise the Matrix stunts when no one is looking. :pi:

At first, I didn't know what the Matrix was and the Agents!

The Matrix was great... but just the first movie. It should have ended there because the story--in a dramatic sense--was essentially over. You had the perfect climax when Neo assumed control of the Matrix and mastered it. Everything after that is denouement... and you don't need two movies worth of denouement... the closing minutes of the first film sufficed for that.

Amazing movies which I can easily watch again and again. I didn't see the big disappointment in Revolutions myself.

Out of all honesty, I haven't seen the sequels. But I'm not ashamed, simply because The Matrix original is awesome and by watching those sequels, it would ruin it all for me. Should've been kept as a stand-alone movie, but that's just my opinion...

The Matrix is my favourite movie, which makes the fact that I've not watched it for two and a half years or so pretty strange.
I can't say I care too much for the sequels, but I still feel that Revolutions gets a bit more flak than it deserves as I thought it was better than Reloaded. I rather liked The Animatrix though.

Awesome set of films although I did think the last film was no where near as good as the first two. In fact i'd go as far as to say imo it was a let down.

Wow. The Animatrix... I forgot about that one. I tried to block it from all memory but you reminded me!

Probably the worst thing I've seen in the past decade or so, aside from the recent Land Of The Lost movie! :p

I did not like the Animatrix very much either. The stories it portrayed were fine, but the animation itself was just terrible for most of the shorts.

Ouch! It wasn't quite as good as I had been led to believe, and I can't say that I enjoyed all of the shorts, but isn't that a bit harsh? :p

I meant no offense to you... if you liked it that's fine; many people did. I just really hated it! Every second of it. ;)

(Now, if you tell me you liked Land Of The Lost, that's a different matter. That movie was so bad there can be no debate... :p)

No offence taken, I actually found your comment really funny. :D

I've just searched for the trailer on YouTube (you made me curious) and I can certainly see where you're coming from. :p

The first Matrix kicks ass :tmb: A brilliant combination of awesome special effects, great fight scenes, and excellent dialogues and plot. It was one of the best movies ever made.
The sequels...... meh. XP

Obviously I totally love this scene :D
