Come tell people about books that you read. Your favorite or the worst thing to pass your eyes it doesn't matter. I will start

Does anyone read Amy Tan. I read two of her books The Joy Luck Club and The Hundred Secret Senses. I thought the Joy luck club movie was a little better than the book but the book was still good.

Has anyone read any tomb raider books? I can't find any at the stupid library but I am curious as to what they are like.

I'm reading Dante's 'Inferno' right now...I really love it...

also I just finished reading George Orwell's '1984'. Quite haunting.

I love four of Terry Pratchett's works...'Soul Music', 'Hogfather', 'Reaper Man', and 'Mort', the last being my favorite. I know what an anthropomorphic personification is...do you? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-2.gif

I LOVE the Bourne series by Robert Ludlum (much better than the movies.)

The Chronicles of Prydain, and the Halo series are good aswell.

Brave New World is good after a few reads.

BTW Devil_Lady, the first Tomb Raider book, "Amulet of Power" is really good, but the second, "The Lost Cult" really stunk. It was stupid an unrealistic, but the first had an excellent story.

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-3.gif Aside from all these intellectual books you all are reading....

I read Harry Potter! I LOVE the books! They are soooo good. The movies rock my face off too! But the books are SUPERB. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-5.gif

I'm reading "The Order of the Phoenix" right now. I can't wait for the movie of "The Goblet of Fire" to come out! YAY! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif That book was SO good! Poor Cedric! :(

It's crazy, I used to make fun of the adults who freaked out over Harry Potter... but all thanks to the Playstation game of H.P. I decided to watch the movie, and then became obsessed and started reading the books! Now, I am one of the people I made fun of! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-3.gif I just love reading!

Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite authors and I hope his books make Hollywood soon!

I like Lian Hearn's Tales of the Otori trilogy, but I've only read the first two.

I like the Lindsey Davis 'Falco' series, about a private informer in Vespasians Rome.

I only really read Harry Potter to keep up with everyone else.

And of course I'm writing my own stories the whole time! Maybe fifteen years from now, you'll see my books on the bestseller shelves! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

I love reading so much, I dream of having my own library one day...you know, a creepy dark place full of books (which don't have to be creepy and dark http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ). But for now I'm fine with being neck-deep in books in my tiny little student's room :D Guess books are my addiction.

My favourites are the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, George R.R. Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire", "Ring", "Spiral" and "Loop" by Koji Suzuki, "Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco, Edgar Allan Poe's stories, Forgotten Realms books ("War of the Spider Queen" series is my favourite), "Earth's Children" series by Jean M. Auel, everything by Stephen King and Anne Rice (at this moment my favourite writer).

I've heard of this and it's on the top of my "To Read" list! I have found the 2nd book ("Grass For His Pillow"), but no matter how hard I search I can't find the 1st anywhere. Guess I'm going to have to order it from Amazon.

I just finished reading "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. This is one of the best books I have read recently, it is exciting and very interesting, I would highly recommend it.

I'm so glad this got a big response. My favorite books are white oleander, Outer dark, and the notebook. I'm a big fiction reader but the book I didn't like was Visits from the drowned girl. It was a little sick if you know what I mean.
