View Full Version : Makeup - A girls best friend!
There's something that I love. And that's makeup! Though most of them don't work and are useless. Luckily there are a few nice brands. I'm currently using MAC's Studio Fix. It gives you a nice matte, smooth look. It's kinda pricey hehe. Here's a pic from there site. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/love4.gif
Hopefully the effects don't look like the ones you have on your avatar http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif
The make-up pic looks cool though. I don't need make-up,but when I get out and want to put some,I love good quality ones, and not always the most priciest.
Maybeline and Loreal are good http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-5.gif
No not my avatar. I just did that with the lighting. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Makeup's great for a smooth look.
Also Christian Dior's lip and eye makeup is soooo beautiful! ooo I hate using my credit card. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
(lowered the quality for modem browsers)

Oh, I luv that Dior pic...WOW!!
Gothic makeup is a bother sometimes. But I always wear it anyways.
I love fake eyelashes...I had to start wearing them because I pulled all my real eyelashes out (I'm OCD and chronically pull hair out) and now I just really love them. I just bought some fun glow-in-the-dark ones today... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-5.gif
Fake eyelashes are so much fun. They really change the way you look. I mostly wear them out to night clubs. Glowing lashes in the dark sounds so much fun.
My entire makeup set is basically Black eyeliner and sometimes lipstick. I don't wear alot, but when I don't have my eyeliner I go crazy.
I can live without eye liner but I know my mom can't! She doesn't wear foundation but she's a huge fan of eye liner! I know she loves it.
Btw I ordered another studio fix...only because I got a free shipping & handling code :D . I'm using the NC15 shade. I didn't even have to go to their store to figure out my skintone. I'm relatively light but this seem to work best. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/love4.gif
I very well may die without eyeliner.
I also like to do tears like Benji from GC...I usually do them in either black or red eyeliner or in red or blue glitter. It's fun.
Red Glitter! I must see it! Where'd you get that? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
Red Glitter (http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=281042&RN=191)
I love this stuff because it's water-based, and the water will eventually evaporate but that allows you to add as much (or little) water as you want to make whatever concentration of glitter you want. They have a lot of other colors too, like silver, fuchsia, blue, and green. Hot Topic always has the best makeup...

Oooo that's delicious! I'll have to pick it up. I'm off to bed now. Its like midnight here. btw I have monday off due to Columbus Day. Woohoo! I agree, Hot topic has some really nice looking makeup. ;)
Lol. I'm off to bed too, as it's about the same time here. I don't think I have Colombus day off...hmm... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
Aaah, make-up :D
Hehe. Im not obsessed with it or anything and i usually put just some powder and eye mascara. (when i go to shcool or shoppin, for example. at free time, none) If i'd go to party, i'd put powder, mascara, lip gloss, maybe some eye liner and stuff. but make-up can really save u sometimes! :D
I have put a lot of makeup on my face but I don't have lipstick often.

I think that if you're going to wear make-up, quality REALLY matters and yes, it means more expensive stuff. And never, ever forget a quality make-up remover! I've seen too many girls who ruined their skin completely by wearing cheap powder and not cleaning it all off their faces.
Now, being a poor student that I am, all the make-up I own is a black mascara, a white eye-pencil (if applied skillfully it does wonders on making you eyes look bigger and prettier http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ) and a lip gloss. It's quite enough for me http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
One thing I've never understood was foundation. Everyone at my school wears it, and it really makes their faces break out, so its kinda a farce. They put it on to cover up their break outs, and in return it causes more......really smart
I tried it a few times and it was like I couldn't breath, or that I had ketchup on my face. I never wore it again, and my skin looks the best now compared to everyone I know who does. :D
I wear Clinque makeup, and not too much of it. Im not big on makeup, except when it comes to lipgloss. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
Morning girls. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
I know this is a girl's topic, but I just wanted to say that men notice too much makeup more than we notice no makeup.
i used to wear eye liner but now i'm just on eye shadow, that's probably all i wear now, sometimes lipgloss but the one i have sticks my hair onto my lips. And can anyone recommend me what kind of eye makeup should i wear if i'm asian----meaning i have small eyes with no eyelid and they don't go into your face as deep as other people. That's right, i have nooooooo eyelids!
Lmao galaxia! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif
You should always wear something not too much dark, but not to much shiny either; or else you'r gonna look like a night lady http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/silent.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif . Natural colors are always a good start to begin with.
Practice and see what looks the best on you...number one rule.
Make-up....well it's something I don't put alot of effort in if I'm just staying at home.....
If I go somewhere I just use black mascara, and clear lipgloss.
That's all I need! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif
I'm always concerned though if my hair looks ok or not, I usually always wear my hair down (I have long blonde hair - typical swedish person I guess http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ), but greasy hair is for me a big no!!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
ahhhh makeup http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
im in loveee with my max factor volumizing mascara.. it *shocker* actually works!! my eye lashes are wayyyy too long but they dont have any volume. i forget the name of the mascara but it works!
i absolutely love my milani eyeshadow. its a bright lime green and somewhat sparkly. i also have this hot pink blush. the colors are intense but if you apply it lightly it doesnt look that right pink but a nice pinkish.
the eyeshadow is like this but more sparkly and more of a yellow
this is another one of my favorite milani blushes
and the other blush..
**sigh** i could go on forever with all the makeup i have. but those are my favs. i have 1 huge bag full of makeup and 2 smaller ones w/ my favorite stuff in it.
i cant go without wearing some concealer, powder, eyeliner and mascara. what cant you girls go without??
btw, the max factor lip finity stuff is AMAZING. i have it in "delicious"
^^ oo and i forgot to add :
all of this makeup you can get from a walgreens or drug store. the miliani blush and eyeshadow is about 3-5 dollars. the max factor mascara is 7 and the lipstick was 10... but not that prices matter http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif i love all of the M∙A∙C eyeshadows. i will one day buy some. i might sometime soon with all this b-day money hehe i love bright intense eyeshadows!
