Finally, there's a place for them! Who here enjoys listening to the magic of this alternative rock band ?
They seem to be in the studio these days. While we wait for something to happen why don't we go listen to some of their hits ? :D

Nice to see I'm not the only fan around here. :) I suspect that there are a lot of people who dislike Coldplay, but maybe that's just my paranoia talking...
Anyhow, what's your favorite album, Kiko? I adore "Parachutes" and "A Rush of Blood to the Head" since they kept me sane throughout the stressful times in high school. And even though "Fix You" aren't on those albums I think it's one of my favorite songs, lyrics-wise.
I love rush of blood to the head. Parachutes and X&y stay right behind it. I recently discovered the song "White Shadows" awesome :cln:
Aren't there any more Coldplay fans ? Hmm..??
Yay! A Coldplay thread!!! :yah:
They're my favourite band!:jmp:
A Rush of Blood to the Head and Parachutes are just incredible!

As an old timer and a lover of classic rock and jazz, I like them a lot. Especially the song "Talk". Really like the video as well.
my favourite songs are Ladder To The Sun, Prospekt's March and See You Soon
That's it

The Scientist here.
Noooobooody said it was eeeeeeasy
Noooo oneeee ever said it would be this haaaard
But that's probably because this song has a very personal meaning to me. :)

many people chose songs for that reason. I don't listen to Coldplay much. Just few live and rare recordings

Really? I thought everyone pretty much hated it. :D Nah I was listening to that song when I found about of the death of a former classmate and after that it became pretty much the song I put on when I want to think about it.
I used to have very little consideration for this band because they always sounded way overrated. I kept reading stuff like "the successors of U2" and "the best rock band of our time" and when I actually listened to their music... yeah... it was OK, at best. Surely not unique or groundbreaking.
But, I still managed to give Viva la Vida a listen and it blew me away... It's certainly one of the most beautiful works of music I ever listened to, from start to finish. Now I finally have some respect for them as musicians. I also look forward to see their next albums. But for the older stuff, I couldn't care less.

I remember video of that song. A cliche one but who today don't make cliche videos?
Listened to Glass Of Water another day. Nice song. Kudos.
I interpreted the Scientist as a loss of a person that he later realized how great she was, not necessarly an accident like in the video...
This thread is getting a bump because...

This thread also gets moved to entertainment section. Carry on over there. :)
Thank you :) Well it seems that for now it's just me & the thread :vlol: Are there no coldplay fans at all?
It's a cute song, I have to admit. A shame it changes its tone around the end, though. I prefer my Xmasy songs to be mellow till the end. :D
they have so weird songs, i'm scared to listen them :D. for example clocks, trouble and hardest part make me feel really weird. something between sadness and awe.
I adore Coldplay. And "Christmas Lights" is amazing, although I agree with Liara :o
The Hardest Part, Fix You, VIVA LA VIDA (...) :cln:
Coldplay are awesome :D
Yellow is my favourite followed by clocks
coldplay is BACK bitchaz!!

I can't say I like the song very much but i'm sure it will grow on me just like I didn't like their previous album but then I loved it after a while :D.

I like their new song
I was never a fan until I heard their duet with Kylie Minogue, then I took more of an interest.

I like how they are changing the sound of their music, but of course Coldplay wouldn't be Coldplay without a depressing yet beautiful song like 'Moving to Mars'
