I thought i'd create this thread so we can have general discussion about anything or everything relating to this new game :jmp:
I'm actually shying from going to bed as I don't want to miss any information :vlol:
OMG we finally got some news I'm so exited, 2 years we haven't heard anything and then just BAM, we get a mini game that sounds so awesome, I'm chewing my pillow for some news LoL

Yup most likely it's going to be a full game that can be downloaded for free and played for a limited period of time , until of course you buy codes to activate it . http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=165544

Like I said, I doubt it.
I wonder if its a Test Game to see what we will like and dont like, maybe its a way to show us that they have been listening and then we tell them Yes thats Good or No thats Bad or Do this but Change that.
Maybe they are Preparing TR9 for this.

That's what I think, too. If so I'm really glad, 'cause doing little one-off adventures for DLC was my idea!:D

I think I know why they are using this title, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light...
- They were working on Tomb Raider: Origins. But then last summer of 2009, some artworks were leaked out on the net and everything may have stopped them from working the title. And I don't know if you guys remember one japanese or chinese artist posted some artworks of hers into the net, and she was one of them who got fired from Crystal Dynamics. Instead of canceling this project, they decide to make it as a downloadable content and it will lead us to the story why Lara Croft became a real Tomb Raider. I think it's that worth because from my experience, I know Lara Croft became a Tomb Raider because all the stories of her past life, but I never followed exactly WHY she became... And The Guardian of Light may tell us something that brightened her of becoming it.
After playing Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, we will understand in the story of the ninth game, that perhaps they'll use some cutscenes from that game as "review". That's why they didn't use "Tomb Raider" on that title because in the game, she hasn't become a Tomb Raider yet until we play it to the end.
That's my guess...

That's a pretty good guess :tmb:
I am however quite skeptical. They've said its supposedly something really different to the usual and that most of us will be 'Pleasantly surprised'. It ALSO doesn't have "Tomb Raider" in the title which says to me that it has nothing to do with Tomb Raider. There is also a good chance therefore, that those screenshots were infact not from this game.
