Don't you just love the way some people say graphics don't make a game, yet they shoot GOL down, calling it a completely disappointment based just on it's rather bad graphics? [/Sarcasm]
Yes, the graphics aren't the best, TR9 is most definitely going to look miles better than it, but it looks set to be a great game, something new and fresh, along with it having mulitplayer, which I can't wait to play alongside fellow TR players! :D
I for one won't make a complete judgement of the game until I get my hands on the game! ;)

Not at all, actually. I can hate what a company has done, but love what they're working toward. Nothing hypocritical about it. ;)
Let's not turn this into a developer war. That's not necessary...
Are people bashing because it's a Crystal game? I think they're afraid this type of arcade feel will be in TR9 too, which I'm sure it won't be.

No, they've done a GREAT job with Underworld....but this... :( I'm going to cry :( ....

If fans like it, it might make an appearence in TR9! If fans don't, they won't! They're just trying out something completely new to the series and seeing how people think of it! The main reason people are bashing the game isn't that Crystal are making the game, but as of the graphics being poor and it being a new direction for the series!

Change their asses, I see the best change yet. :p
Frankly the use of colour alone makes the environments looks more appealing to me than most of the stuff in Underworld.
The thing I like about the screenshots is that it looks natural...The broken ledges look like they broke over the years unlike underworld with large white ledges...

Are you talking about the co-op or the arcade look to the game. Because I'm fine with the Co-op for a main Tomb Raider, but not the arcade look to it. Don't get me wrong, I like it as a side game, which it is.

TR3 and TR4 are My absolute favs <3 :p

Couldn't agree more with you :D And I really think it doesn't look bad at ALL. It just looks different, but technically it's pretty much on par with Underworld. It just looks more cartoony, but I really love it :D
I wouldn't mind it at all if it comes for PC :) We play so many games why this game should be an exclusion? Plus there's Lara

It really is. REALLY is. I think it's fantastic, even though there just screens the description and everything sounds amazing! I can't wait to play this with other people online :jmp:

I agree! I am annoyed by this as well. People don't understand what the point of this game is. It's just something extra, for fun. I am sad that some people can't appreciate this. First they say they want more 'classic' in Tomb Raider, and now they are shocked by how retro this looks. Imo Crystal has never gotten this close to classic raiding, and it makes me even more excited for the real game.
The only thing that is slightly bothering me is that 'Totec' character, but it could be fun. Let's play this first and then see if we'll like it or not okay! :D

Don't get too excited :o I removed that bit after Keir said that the platforms haven't been announced yet despite what the Gamespot article said.
Now, we seem to have two threads with the same purpose. I'll close this one since the title is more vague and the thread is geared a bit more towards criticizing other members rather than discussing the game. Other thread is here :)
