Ok so hear me out. How about CD and Square enix are making this game to see how the fans respond, i'll say it will be a short game but to catch our attention. They will get to see what will work in the new game and what wont work. Will this mean TR9 could be only in pre-production and the game content it's self isn't being made because they want to see what the fans want before they code. Just a thought..

i think so - they'll be well into the project but they'll be waiting to see how successful it is to apply ideas from gaurdian of light into tr9.

I hope not. After everything we've seen/heard over the past year, I don't see how it's possible that Crystal hasn't started production on TR9.

No, they're probably well into TR9. Or, atleast it seems like they are.

They're releasing this to hold us over until TR9, why would they release it in 3-4 months if they haven't even started on TR9 yet? PLUS, it's been confirmed a completely different team is making this game than the one whos making TR9.

They are working/have been working on both titles for a while now! Just because GOL is getting the lime light now, it won't stop Crystal from still continuing work on TR9!

Nope I totally disagree, I think it just so happens that there are innovative ideas that work for TR9 and for this amazing little arcade game.

For me this is an amazing treat just to hold us over with tons of replayability untill the real deal comes in. I am expecting TR9 to be huge O.O :p

well they have it has been confirmed offically that they are working on TR9 whilst this as well but in seperate teams

I think maybe this is a test for co-op in TR, to see how we like it. Beyond that, I don't think there's a connection. Hopefully the co-op is good enough that CD chooses to use it in TR9.

No I think TR9 has been in production for a while. This game is just a separate side game, a bonus. If CD are testing the waters for co-op it could be for TR10 more so than TR9, unless co-op is already implemented in TR9, of course.
