So I might be wrong, but I think I know why it's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

Its cuz the guy shes with MIGHT be the Guardian of Light, and they wanted to focus the game on a 2 player experience, so they made it more personal so they called it Lara Croft.

In short: Its title is from the two main characters you play as Lara Croft and The guardian of light
