The Sun, it's a load of false crap most of the time, but I still read it! :pi:

None of those. I get my local newspaper for the job vacancies every Thursday and if it has a review about the drama group I belong to in it.

12-05-10, 16:51
The Independent or the Times, if there's one lying around at work. Failing that, I'll work my way down the food chain trying to avoid the Daily Mail.

Occasionally I'll flick through that right-wing Rag known as The Sun when it's lying around in work, but it doesn't take long until I put it down again after one or two paragraphs into an article. Broadsheets are more insightful and I prefer them for their hesitation to over-sensationalise their features, but the truth is my most frequently read newspaper is the Metro. I travel three working days out of five and tend to pick up the paper to pass the time and better yet, it's free. Apart from that, I'll source most of my news from the BBC, blogs and word of mouth.

:)The Sun aren't right-wing - they support whichever party looks most like winning.

I don't read newspapers that often but when I go up to London to watch Villa away games for example I normally pick up a paper at the station. My first choice would be The Times or The Daily Telegraph but if neither of those are around I'll take the Daily Mail. I still think it's silly how people single the Daily Mail out - the tabloids are much worse. I don't like either The Sun or The Mirror (although I have less tolerance for the latter).

Also, IceColdLaraCroft, how can you read newspapers here when you don't actually live here? Or do you read them online or something?

Daily Mail and the Daily Express for me.

Buffy87
12-05-10, 18:29
The Daily Mirror.

I also get The Guardian and The Times when they have their legal supplements in. I have to keep up to date with legal stuff incase I get some pupillage interviews and they ask my opinion of such and such a case or such and such a ruling. Quite interesting read overall actually.

And when I can get my hands on british newspapers, I read The Daily Telegraph :D

None, can't remember the last time I bought a newspaper.

I don't watch the news on TV either. It's so repetitive and mindless.

I never buy newspapers anymore, don't really see the point if you've got the internet.

My family gets the Daily Express everyday. Not exactly brilliant, but I love Dilbert. My flatmate buys the guardian most days- god is so boring and depressing and snobby.

I don't read newspapers :o

Although, I do skim through the local one to see if I recognise anyone in the pictures, and if I find someone, I read the related article.

I read the Daily Mail... but that's mainly because I work there and the Metro on the train into work.

And for those readers of the Metro who are "anti-Daily Mail", you do realise that the two papers are under the same roof and are part of the same media company?! I used to love reading the Metro in the morning, Daily Mail at work and the London Lite on the train home, it's all the exact same stories 3 times over, just worded differently! ;)

The Times or the Guardian. But I read the Guardian with a vague sense of irony in my actions, plus I like the True Blood blog.
