What version of office do you have currently? This (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/convert-works-documents-to-word-format-HP001188116.aspx) might work if you have Office 2003.

that's really easy and you don't need any software at all.

here's how:

a) goto: http://www.zamzar.com/
b) choose your file (wps file in your case)
c) choose your format (doc in your case)
d) enter your email
e) push convert file

You'll get the needed doc file via your email within a minute

@Sgt BOMBULOUS: Thanks:) but this doesn't work with my program unfortunately.

@Drone: Thanks:) I found this website a while ago but I wasn't too keen on letting it have my e-mail address, I think I may end up using it anyway though as I haven't been able to find anything else.

Thanks both,
Croft.

No need to worry about email but you can create a new account just for this purpose.

A simple google reveals alot of information.
http://filext.com/file-extension/WPS

They indicate you can search the MS website for a converter. They even give the name to search for.

try to have whoever sent you the .wps file to save it as a .rtf file.

or get this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=BF41401E-70FA-465D-AE2E-CF44DBF05297&displaylang=el&displaylang=en

and depending on your MS Office version this:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=en

and may as well get the service pack 1 release for it as well
