That's right... a sequel is on the way.

The Asylum's Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus is one of those great guilty pleasure films that has the right amount of B movie absurdity in it. Well, the Asylum apparently is going to follow up the success of the film with another giant animal versus film Giant Shark vs Giganotosaurus. For those who don't know, a Giganotosaurus was a late Cretaceous predator of South America that was larger than the Tyrannosaurus Rex of North America.

Following a link on Asylum's website to a CNN video from their booth at the Cannes Film Festival last month; the poster art appeared. And I gotta say, looks awesome; personally I'm a fan of their artwork, hands down some of the best straight to dvd covers out there. But, beyond the artwork in the video, no mention of it exists on their website. But here's to hoping Debbie Gibson and Lorenzo Lamas come back for this film to save us from the creatures.

Originally tired Mega Shark vs Gigantosaurus, it has now been retitled Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus, as indicated by The Asylum's website.

I've not seen it myself, to be frank. But it sure looks wonderful. And I'm aware some of the members of this forum are fans of this.

Wow, so they're selling it on Blu-ray also? I bet those special effects look amazing in HD :tmb:
