In this day and age when we are able to communicate with officials regarding the Tomb Raider franchise, this kind of interaction needs to be documented.

Much of this now occurs here, such as goodness releases by trl_online & Keir Edmonds from Eidos.

I have created a Tomb Raider Forums page on wikipedia Tomb Raider Forums (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Tomb_Raider_Forums")

Let's maintain it suitably with appropriate, important and official information :)

PLEASE REFERENCE YOUR SOURCES! Or other editors will have reason to remove your entries or delete the entire thing (!) :yik:

"Notable Users" and "Contributors to this page" aren't very good ideas, tbh.

This should be entertaining.

My concern is that this could lead to something of a popularity contest =/

However someone could mention notorious users :vlol:

There isn't really a whole lot to say in a wikipedia entry, is there?

I'd write something of the origin of the forums.

Yeah.. I guess Keir and Squamula others could go under a 'Trivia' heading..
I wonder how big the article will get :p

I'm kind of nervous about this as well. I'm not contributing to the page and I hope no drama happens :o I think "Notable Users" should only refer to Eidos or Crystal employees who have official information. That seems relatively objective and somewhat helpful to know, and hopefully wouldn't become a popularity contest since someone either works for Eidos or they don't. But that's just my suggestion and I don't moderate Wikipedia so I'm not about to tell people what they can or can't post there :p

I was wondering when someone would get around to doing this. I'm not sure Wikipedia is the best outlet for it though. Maybe a TRF documentary on an independent site would work better? *shrugs*

Aye this sounds reasonable, plus people like Keir are the ones I'd think you'd want to go to if you had a more specific question about the series/Eidos, etc.

Or TRF's own wiki! (http://www.tombraiderwiki.com/index.php/Main_Page)

I don't really see what 'Tomb Raider Forums' page needs to be about. It's pretty self-explanatory. We discuss Tomb Raider and Lara Croft. If someone needs more information, that is what the actual forum is for. A direct link would be more than enough for a Wikipedia page.

This.

And it needs a lot of work..

No page title matches

There is no page titled "lara croft and the guardian of light".

Contributors removed. Can understand the commotion this may incur...

I think "Notable Users" should only refer to Eidos or Crystal employees who have official information.

Lololol :vlol:

The article has (relatively) immediately been put up for deletion

Unfortunately Tomb Raider Forums is deemed a "non-notable forum" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tomb_Raider_Forums

Please, if you are editing, make sure you include viable REFERENCES!!!

I've tried my best, if no one else can help we might as well abandon this :p

Please close this thread moderators if the entry is deleted :wve:

As much as I really, honestly wanted to help develop this entry, I really couldn't think of anything that would make this forum matter to the world outside of the Tomb Raider community. We have wonderful members, moderators, and administrators, but the public really doesn't have that much interest for that.

So, I'd just let the article die. We'll be fighting all too long and hard and end up with nothing in the end. It was a nice idea, but we as a forum haven't done anything really notable enough to warrant an entry in Wikipedia as of yet.

Also, please don't take this as a bash on these forums. I love these forums, but I just feel that people's time could be better spent on something not doomed from birth. :)
