This has to be the latest fad round London at the moment... sticking your feet in a tank full of ickle fish and watch them eat the dead skin off your feet!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1300746/Would-YOU-dare-try-piranha-pedicure.html

Admittedly I went to have this treatment myself this week to see what all the fuss was about and to see if it really did make your feet soft afterwards (as my feet were awful)... and I have to say that it really did work a treat and got rid of about 95% of the manky dead skin. The foot massage afterwards was a real treat as well!

Here's someone trying out the treatment at the same place I went to:

At 45 a session, it's not something everyone could do on a regular basis, but I would highly recommend it as a one off treat or a bit of a giggle with the girls! ;)

Who else would be up for this sort of thing, or who has tried it? Would be interesting to know what people think! :)

I've heard about this :tmb: I wouldn't mind getting it done either. Those little fish clean bigger fish in the sea, so why not feet? Its where they get their food from after all <3

I think I would like to do this. sounds fun and interesting. :)

all I knew about this was from a documentary about somewhere where they have this for long time. I forget where exactly.

What a cute thing! I want to try that? My feet are silky smooth though, will they still eat off it?

 Are all your toes intact? (well the thread title says piranha).

Hmm, if I had 45 I may have a go, beats a pumice stone.

Not that I pretend to understand girlish girly girl stuff such as this, but couldn't you just buy some fish for that price? Or, you know, take a bath?

There's a thick buildup starting to form around my heel so even I think about doing this.

No. Only certain fish will willingly and successfully remove dead skin :p

Do people really get much roughness on the skin on their feet? I'm a dude and my feet are really soft and smooth... and I don't do much with them, except for showering and drying them carefully with a towel each time.
