I have been wondering should TRF have it's own app for the iPod touch and the iPhone
We could have it free or for. 99 cents

Yes or no
Wish we could have a poll ;)

No.

What would the app be for?

A TRC app sounds like a good idea - to get the latest updates of the magazine that Justin writes.

If you need the forum to be easier to read, you can use the "Archive" link at the bottom of the page.

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/archive/index.php

(Though you can't post using that.)

Hell no. I don't have an iPhone to use apps with anyway.

It would be cool. For those who are really addicted to the site. :p

But then again not many people have iPhones or iPod Touch. Do they?

I don't think anything happens here that is so urgent it can't wait for you to log on to your computer.

But you need to be able to get on quick enough to catch the dramaz before vapourisation!

I always miss it :(

There's always soap operas for a good drama fix then, I guess:ton:

I wasn't talking about anything specific when I said drama :p

On topic - I think it's pointless. The iPhone (and I'm assuming the iPod touch) comes with Safari, why would you need an app when you have a browser that could do the job just as fast?

Why a phone even? Doesn't anyone carry laptops anymore.

The same goes for Facebook, YouTube , wikipedia, etc. They can all be used eith the safari app yet they have their own apps. :p

If it was cheap to make, or possibly free. Then why not? Then again, is TRF really worth it? :p (it's a joke people :p)

I still say that TRF is easily accessible on practically all internet browsers:

-Cell phone(crap)
-Cell phone(good)
-Nintendo Wii
-Sony PS3
-Sony PSP
-PC
-Nintendo DS

They have all been tried and TRF works just fine!! It doesn't need a mobile version at all because of how the interface is situated. :)

08-09-10, 03:48
A mobile version of the site would be cool, one that's optimized for use on iPhones/iPods could really shorten loading times, and there are a lot of mobile themes for vBulletin out there. I'm not sure the forum needs an app though, considering it would require a decent amount of coding and funds, while a mobile version of the site can be made quickly and for free. :)

Didn’t we have this topic several times before already?

An iPhone app would be a welcome addition, because writing longer posts in mobile Safari is not the best experience, but I wouldn’t say that it is urgently needed either.

igonge
08-09-10, 09:05
No. The iPad can connect to the website just fine.

Punaxe

Wouldn't that be called a "browser"? Does this not exist yet?

MiCkiZ88
08-09-10, 11:06
Easier browsing on mobile phones/smart phones would be welcome, but I somewhat manage on my HTC Desire. Screen is big enough to read small text, but on smaller phones it is a major pain in the ass to read anything.

TombOfRaiders
08-09-10, 12:34
No, No, No. TRF is good enough on PSP and on browsers. No app needed.

08-09-10, 13:25
I'm sorry but no way!
It costs time and money to make that, and Justin is already busy enough that I doubt he wants to write an ipod app. And it's totally pointless.

isnt the new iPhone that advanced yet?

you take a picture of the phone, with the camera in your phone. dont they detach? :oor you could use a mirror, but more so, i was being facetious, lol.
