Anyone played it?

I personally think that the Konquest mode was brilliant. I have always wanted a Mortal Kombat RPG, and that was really the best part of the game. But brutally killing people was fun too.

I liked seeing all the old elements come back, like the pit, and the Deadpool, not to mention Mileena (my old fave)

I fell in love with Li Mei from Deadly Alliance though, and was dissapointed when a lot of her techiniques changed, but I'm starting to get used to it.

The chess stuff is great as well, but the interactive environments get annoying, especailly when you have full health and your opponent had none, but you die because they push you off of a cliff

Its a good game, but the Konquest is too short.

(Also, There are rumors about a third MK movie (yay. ) They should stick to games. The first movie wasn't bad, but the second http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif

Oh another MK fan! :D
Well, I don't yet have the game which you speak of.
But I've played all the old games and see all three movies.
The first movie was definitely the best!! The second one....hmmm......maybe ok.
But the third one was quite short....and hardly included any of the previous characters.

Considering the desent of the previous movies, I think It's be best if they just forget the whole thing :D

I didn't like the second one because I love Christopher Lambert as Raiden, and Bridget Wilson as Sonya. I hated it when they were different in the next movie.

But the new game is pretty good. Like I said, the konquest mode makes it. They should make a movie based on that, that would actually be really good.

I'm going to wait for the GameCube version, but it looks really cool so far.

I was kind of offended with the character Li Mei in MK: DA so hopefully they changed her a little.

Remember the Konquest mode from Deadly Alliance, which was basically learning how to use all the characters? (boring) They have combined that with an RPG like approach in this game. You actually play as a character named Shinjinko, and go on a konquest throught the 6 realms to find the 6 Kamidogo artifacts for the Elder Gods.

You play through his entire life, starting as a young boy, and finishing as a old man. You meet all the characters in the game, and most all the characters from previous games as you travel throughout the realms. You can fight them if you like, which usually gains extra stuff for you, like costumes and sometimes it will even unlock a character. (you can't buy th characters, outfits, and arenas like in deadly alliance, you have to find them in konquest mode.)
The characters had little missions for you aswell, like find a mask, or deliver this message, and you recent MK curreny for it, to buy other things in the Krypt (unimportant things)

But it is really cool how you meet all the characters, anf how it has a story behind it about Shao Kahn and the Dragon King. It's really interesting.

The only downside is that it's kinda short. I got the game last Saturday, and I already finished it, just a little over a week is pretty short.
It takes a while if you up the difficulty though. It took me almost two days to beat Scorpion on Medium setting. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif I was just a little offended. She has such stereotypical Asian features... the ones only American/Western people would give an Asian character. They have the facial bone structure of a white female but with really, really slanted eyes. If you look at games created by Asians (living in Asia) like Final Fantasy X, Dead or Alive, or even Siren, the females' faces are rounder and the eyes aren't so exaggerated.

That's just my take. I'm not angry about this, it's just something I noticed :D
