This is brilliant (and irresponsible of course) but a woman in Kent called the emergency services after someone stole her snowman. You can listen to the call....

I can see from that call that the snowman isn't the only one smoking the pipe.

I dont know what's worse, that someone would steal a snowman, or the fact that she called 999 over it :vlol:

As if she called 999 to say someone stole her snowman, at this rate the way the snow carrys on there still be plenty of snow for her to make a new one.

Well to be fair, stuff she had PAID for had been stolen. I wouldn't have bothered, myself, but I think it was still valid. Well maybe to call a non-emergency line.

Man, this certainly is going to make me think twice before I make my traditional snowman outside my house. I won't be placing my Rolex, wedding ring and my gray three piece suit on it. Damn snowman thieves!

And even having been in England more than a few times before, I still can't get used to the 'have a fag' designation for a smoking.

The theft of two teaspoons and pound coins doesn't necessitate a call to the emergency services.

It's not exactly irresponsible, she reported a crime- and good on her for doing that (I guess it would of been more appropiate to contact local authorities). However, the 'crime' was a bit stupid.. and I'm sure she'll do fine without two teaspoons and coins. :pi:

So she's concerned over 2 and two teaspoons (that's short arms)? Maybe report it, but not use the emergency number. Why would someone take the whole snowman, why not just grab the spoons and coins?

Really? It is totally irresponsible to phone emergency services regarding the theft of two teaspoons and 2. Police and other emergency services deal with issues that effect people's lives

Even if she had contacted the local police station I'd question her actions when more serious burglary and theft is taking place. It was a snow man! Ridiculous.

It's just a pen. I left it outside- and it was stolen. Should I phone the police?

YES! That pen was worth $730,000- yes, that much. Who is to say those teaspoons weren't made of diamonds!:mad:

... :p but yeah, I agree, to some extents. But to me, a crime is still a crime (and to some theft [of anything] can result in loss of hands). Let's hope Karma gets those who stole the teaspoons and money- and that poor poor snowman. :p

Why would you put 1 coins in a snowman on show to the whole road? Anyone with half a brain would realise that some chavs would just nick them. :vlol:

Yes. For the UK 999 is the emergency services.999 is a far superior emergency number, as it has been known in the past that childern can easily dial the number 9 three times to save their ailing parents.

I don't know why we in the states/canada could not adopt 999 rather than 911 :D
