Very nice, Deano. Snowflakes are extremely complex structures with perfect symmetry. The wonders of nature never fail to amaze. Saved to hard-drive! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Pretty Deano. But it's not ice (a mineral with hexagonal symmetry). This is a tetragonal crystal of some other compound :D

Crystaline structure?

There is the apocryphal story of a goverment minister from Sierra Leone being asked by the BBC World Service whether there were any minerals in his country.

To which he replied (allegedly) 'Oh yes! We've Coke, Fanta, Seven Up .... '.
