I remember trying to make Lara swandive in TRII and III from medium heights to small water pools (reaching her ankles or knees, like with this guy's case) and she died.

Probably because when she swan dives, she moves into the actual dive almost immediately and would break her neck. That's why she can die from diving onto solid ground from a relatively low height in the classics (although not in AOD onwards). This guy bellyflopped a paddling pool, so imagine she'd be fine if she simply jumped from this height.

Lol, even though I hate heights, I've jumped from 40 feet high diving board but the water was certainly not like that. It was about 18 feet deep, and I touched the bottom. But the again, he didn't really dive, more like a belly flop.
