For those people who don't believe we get snow in Australia. Unfortunately this is summer not winter.

I love Australia - everything and anything can happen... including snow in summer.

Last week we had a 37 degree day followed by monsoon rainfall and floods...

I am from Turkey and all four seasons in a day possible here. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif But in Australia, are you sure it is snow or hailstones?

Hi Cem,

Please see the link and see for yourself. The snow was in Victoria just over the border from New South Wales. On Wednesday in Sydney we definately had hail. Luckily where I am they were not big but in other parts they were pretty big around the size of Golf Balls. Also had really bad winds (like cyclonic). One new school completely lost its roof.

Hi Duff long time no see. You must be in Melbourne, although there was some low level flooding in Sydney as well. But not as bad as Melbourne. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

well, I saw You were right. Even in summer???
It is winter in Turkey and all around here is white, in some parts of Turkey 2metres snow it could be. But in Australia I wouldn't believe if I didn't see with my own eyes

You think you're surprised. Think how the people living in Mt Hotham felt. I was pretty surprised Friday Morning when I was watching TV and the weatherman came on standing in snow.

We had sleet at Parliment circle. That was the closest Canberra got to snow. But how outrageous was that "weather bomb"?

Tell me about it. When the hail started I stood at the door wondering if I should risk a severe headache and go and cover my car. Luckily we only got a couple of big pieces of hail none of which hit my car and the rest was small and did no damage. The wind was so bad that the old doonah's would not have stayed on anyway but would have ended up in one of the neighbours places. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Queensland - The Sunshine State
Beautiful one day, stinking hot the next, followed by bucketing rain that turns my snow white car cover into a muddy mess.
gotta love it

Good Evening PSone.

Do you mean the Sunshine State or the Cyclone State. See the thread re Dust Storms.
Stinking hot here again today. Love listening to the weather when they tell me out our way it was 31C when the thermometer reads 36C. I was only worried about having my lovely White Subaru Forester covered in dents. Mud I can live with. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
