I wish! :( Although it is possible with MSN 7.0- However when I had that, the computer kept saying that it wasn't latest version and I had to get 6.3 again.

I need to know this! Tlr- What I do now is block EVERYONE and then when you're online, you can choose who to be online with- watch out! Some people may ask each other whether you're online or not... so that can relate to problems... :( But thats basically how I solve this. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Yes this feature is enabled in MSN 7.0, it allows you to sing in "Offline", regarfing the error message, you need a patch from HERE (http://www.mess.be) , navigate the left hand side of the page and selecr "MSN 7.0 News" and its the CBW patch i thick, have a quick read and you are sorted, i have been running this version for weeks and had no problesm, although i do recommend running ad ware after the installing of the patch, just as a precaution. You never know!

Correction *CVR Patcher

Would you recommend un-installing MSN 6.2 prior to installing MSN 7?

From my experience, no.
I never and i have had no problems.

Installed, running fine. FYI. Two futher patches must be applied. The first will remove the banners. The second will disable the auto-destruct feature from Microsoft (because MSN 7 is beta)

You must also apply both these patches manually and in order. NO ADS then BLOCK SELF DESTRUCT.

There are also some patches for MSN 6.2. They can sign in you offline.

why are we violating Microsoft's Terms and Conditions?

Because its not an official Beta version, and you are not alllowed to tamper with any of there software at ALL, you know how touchy they are.

Thanks TLR! Still havent recieved your addy via PM  i would never of guessed why, lmao!

Because by applying the patches you are illegally modifying their products. Since MS does not give you the option of removing the ADS, the patches are the only other solution.

Just to note. MSN 7 is a lot more resource hungry than MSN6. That's for sure...

Gentlemen. If your post counts go down, you'll both be reprimanded and made to write 100 times: "I must use Tomb Raider Forums for general chat"

And another thing, i just remembered, in Junior school my teacher made me write 100 lines for swearing in lesson, so i just drew 100 LINEs, not very original i know, but the look on her face was priceless, he he!

Yahoo IM has done this for as long as I could remember. I noticed with MSN if you set your status to "offline" virtually invisible you can't talk to anyone. However with Yahoo you can sign-in under invisible mode and still talk to your buddies.

Slight problem, it keeps signing me out every minute, and then reconnecting, very annoying :s
