Hi Everyone,

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Certain threads have lead me to the question:-

Who is your favourite painter? (All answers, bar a certain Austrian house painter, accepted.)

Any style, of anything!

Excellent thread!

My favorite painter would have to be Waterhouse. I like his 'lady of the lake' painting or it might be named 'the lady of shallot' (It's the one with her in a boat) La Belle sans Dame Merci is also a nice one (I'm pretty sure I didn't write the name correctly  ). Personally, my taste when it comes to artwork leans more towards the rennesance period (oops spelling). What about you?

OH I really like the artists' work in my avator, I also like Andromedas' avator. They seem to hold a fantasy look to them which makes them special. I wonder if the same artist made them?

Lady Of Eternal Darkness: Yeah I read a magazine about Final Fantasy x-2 today. The graphics are going to be amazing! I REALLY am going to have to buy a memory card and FFX as soon as possible hehehe, I can't wait. Too bad I'm broke. Maybe I should take out a small loan

Hi Jade http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif I think Selma did a wonderful job with the movie. It's amazing how much she was able to capture Frida, it was very apparent that she put her whole heart into the project.

My favourite painter is my dad.

He did a great job of the ceiling and skirting boards... No drips at all, what a pro.

How did I miss this thread? *bangs head on keyboard*

I love loads of artists but I especially love Georgia O'Keeffe, her work is so vibrant. The way she can capture flowers is stunning.

Here's a picture of one of my favourites by her.

And Van Gogh...

Hmm. Probably Bridget Riley because I can relate to her images early, very early in the morning/really late at night when I'm cpu'ing and the screen seems to be swaying in front of my eyes  http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ;)

My favourite painter is the one who just finished my halls & bedroom...he did a great job, & didn't charge as much as some others have. :D

My other favourite is a local Nova Scotian artist by the name of Kelsey Raymond. He was a great friend too, but passed away 2 years ago. I have a number of his paintings in my home...his seascapes are very realistic & generally rugged, and in later years he painted scenes of old houses, barns, etc. I love his work.
