My ex-girlfriend was jealous of Lara, then I prefered Lara to her :D
Now, I have an another girlfriend for two months, at once i asked her whether she would be jealous of Lara or not, she said "of-course not, she is not real!" then i said that...
.... but Angelina is real!!!

Valentine's Day is a day for you to not only love others, but to take the time to love yourself.

Umm, yeah, I'm saying that because I don't have a valentine either. *sigh*

How do you guys feel about people falling in love with someone of a much older age (I'm talking 10 years plus)?

Sin
08-02-05, 19:52
For example, me, larasfrend!
I love Gerard Butler, and he makes a difference of me, about 21 years!
But i fell ok with that, i have never fallen in love with a guy more younger than me. I prefer to fall in love with a guy, more old than me!

Ok, you guys are really gonna have to tone down the happy-happy noise in here, cos' I'm over in another thread right now writing about some non-Valentine stuff, and I can't hear myself think.

Thanks http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

Larasfriend

I think it depends on what age group you are in to start off with. If you are in your 20's going out with someone in their 30's ok. I think if you are in your teens going out with someone in their mid to late 20's No. I know you young ones don't like to hear it but you are just coming out of childhood then and you don't have the experience to handle someone that much older than you. There is a big difference between your teens and your 20's. It would be like you going out with your teacher. Having a crush on someone older than you is ok as long as it does not become an obsession. We have all had a crush on an older person but usually realize that nothing can come of it. It's when you try to make something of it that it becomes a problem. The experience is not there in your teens and you can very easily be taken advantage of. My stepmother is only 3 years older than me and my dad is 81 but he is a very young 81 and looks more like he is in his 60's she met my dad when she was in her 30's and had 4 children. Her mother had died when she was young and being the eldest helped to raise her brothers and sisters so she was very mature from a very early age. Just my thoughts on the matter. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

well i dont think age matters, its just a number to me. I was 17 when i got with graeme, he was 23, im now 18 hes 24 and we're very happily engaged, im carrying his baby, we're waiting for the council to give us a place together... it can work out ... take my aunt for example, she met her husband who is 15 years older than her when she was 16, and theyve been happily married for god knows how long now.. age is just a number, anyone can be taken advantage of, no matter how old they are

One of the points I was trying to make is stay a kid for as long as you can. Your an adult for an awfully long time. Your 18 and having a baby, did you not want a career of any sort. Some niche were you could prove yourself. Children are worse that animals as they tie you down for a lifetime. When your young you should give yourself some time to live before you have all the responsibilities of adulthood. Marriage and relationships can fail at any age. My mother was 22 and my father 27 when they were married and their marriage failed. My father and my stepmother have now been married longer than my mother and father and look at their age difference. I am not saying there is a problem with a large age difference, but at 17 you had less experience in life than Graeme at 23. Young people should have fun while they are young (and can get away with it as people put it down to age) and experience life to the full. There is plenty of time to settle down to responsibilities and a long time to have to live with the choices they have made. And as for age not mattering, it might not matter much now but in later years when you change (and you do change as you get older) you might not have as much in common as you did when you were younger. There is a large age difference in my friend and myself and I have known him for 30 years. In that time he has become an old man and our ideas have changed dramatically. At 53 I don't feel old and his attitude is really starting to frustrate me. I'm not saying it can't work, but I have seen mistakes my friends made by settling down too young and the life they have missed out on because of it. I hope everything works out for you and Graeme, I really do. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif
