All 163 people on board Flight 523 from N.Y. live to tell the tale after their plane breaks in half.

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) — Flight 523 from New York had just touched down and passengers were applauding the pilot's landing in the South American country Saturday when something suddenly went wrong.
The Boeing 737-800 slid off the end of a rainy runway, crashed through a chain-link fence and broke in half just short of a deep ravine. Yet all 163 people on board survived.

Blardy hell...One of my fears is being in a plane crash. It must have been so flipping scary to be going down like that, but yeah it's amazing they all survived! Geeesh, is that luck or a miracle or what....

Stuff like this is why I hate flying so much and dread the long-haul flights I take several times a year, I'm glad no-one was hurt. Plane crashes are so terrifying.

I've flown in like, more than 10 planes across seas. :p

Goodness me. And to think I hop on a plane quite often.

yayps! Lucky they already landed! but I'd rather fly in a 2 cent airplane than go to one of out hospitals! :p
