View Full Version : Help me buy a computer game!
I'm sick of playing the tr games over and over again...
I was thinking of getting a new game to keep me proccupied.
Please can someone tell me which games are good out there?
I like: Action/adventure
mostly... Otherwise I like creation games.
(Sims, Theme Park Inc, Roller Coaster Tycoon) etc.
I just don't wanna waste money on something ****py.
If you're on a PC, I can give you some suggestions... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I have the same problem: the only games I have which I play are KQ, TR, Shivers and Backpacker....and I've completed them all so many times (except TR of course, and I'm not always in the mood to play those). I have had "Baldur's Gate" recommended, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think???? I like strategy, RPG, action/adventure(but no "guygames") and horror/suspense....PC only

iam sure that www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) have some copys left
also you do know bloodryane is out for pc
i don't know but i have heard that silent hill 2
is also on pc maybe it was rumor but good finding
drakan oder of the flames also let us know when
you get your new computer game
How about Indiana Jones? The next best thing to TR games, I've only played Emperor's Tomb but I've heard the others are also good. :D
Hi LF, are you playing all the TR games over and over again because you dont have the Level Editor? I just discovered it and am playing some mighty incredible Tomb Raider games (some about 10 times better than Core ever put out). If you want to play TR but are just sick of replaying all the official games, then you might want to download the LE. It came with TR5, tho, did you buy that one? You might have the LE already! If so, then go to www.trle.net (http://www.trle.net) for custom levels...they don't take very long to download, since the game engine is in the LE, which takes a long time to download!
If you are truly sick of Tomb Raider, then I suggest buying Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time. I really want this one, it is very much similar to TR, and got excellent reviews.

These are the ones I really liked:
Indiana Jones & the Infernal Machine...controls are much like Lara, lots of puzzles, good graphics. I really didn't like the New Indie & Emperor's Tomb...controls are awful, & you can't save when you want.
Loved American McGee's Alice... :D
Loved Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets...controls are similar to Lara, puzzles, good graphics.
Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone...not as good as Chamber, but ok
BloodRayne...just got this yesterday, but I'm really having fun with it
Pirates of the Caribbean...looks promising, but I haven't played enough of it yet to tell you too much about it. Controls are a little hard to get used to.
Max Payne 2...5/10..ok, but mainly just shoot em up
Hope this helps. :D

Off the top of my head..
-No One Lives Forever (1/2)/Contract J.A.C.K
-Max Payne 1/2
I've also gotten myself back into Starcraft.. That's real cheap now... And arguably the greatest RTS ever.
Try ICO (ps2), it's quite remarkable and very different from a lot of titles ive seen before.

Hi Anti-Polar Bear,
Your avatar indicates that, like me, you are a fan of the classic Grim Fandango... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ?

Hi again Larasfriend... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif I just want to tell you that I totally agree with Shandroid about the TRLE games. I downloaded my one last night & it is terrific. If the hundreds of others that are out there are anything like this one, I'll be playing them for years!!! No need to waste money on any more games that are hyped to be wonderful, but turn out to be dreadful. :D
