View Full Version : Woo Hoo, I have just discoved Kenny Rogers
Hi guys http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
My room mate has these country guys over and they started playing Kenny Rogers, he is pretty good and after a few drinks, I am even singing along....yee haw! It was Tupac last night and Kenny tonnight
Ohhh, they are putting on Dolly Parton and Hank Willams
Well, hope you all are having a great Saturday night, I am just hanging out at home, having a blast though!
Hank Williams was great,
But as for the rest, may God help you, 'cos no one else can!
Dolly Parton is a bit annoying, is she the one with the big girls? Hank is okay, he seems a bit old school, I can get into this country stuff, I just needs me a sexy cowboy :D
Hank may be 'old school',
But in the best tradition of great musicians, he died tragically!
Check out Willie Nelson, persecuted by the IRS, but still a great musician!
The saxaphone guy?
hey Kasia and John http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Dolly Parton sang 'Jolene'. Loved it when I was a youth. She also wrote the song that Whitney Housten sang in the 'Bodyguard'. In fact, Dolly Parton has penned quite a few good tunes in her time.
Hi Kasia http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Hmm, Willie Nelson, he looks kind of freaky
I am really getting into this country stuff, and I just started dating this guy and somehow I do not think he will appreciate my new love of country :D
Oh well, it is good drinkin music http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif
Sorry, Hi guys http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
I don't like Country and Western very much, but if I could quote from Richard Friedman, that Star of Texas:-
'Ride, Ride 'em Jewboy,
Ride them around the old corral,
Oh I'm, I'm with you boy,
If I got to ride six million miles.'
'Now the smoke, from camps arising,
See the helpless creatures on their way,
Well old pal, it's still surprising,
How long you can go before you stay!'
'Do not let the morning blind you,
When on your sleeve you wore the yaller star,
Old memories still live behind you,
Can't you see by your outfit who you are?'
'How long will you be driven,
Relentless, round the world,
The blood and the rhythm of the soul,
When ponies all, your dreams were broken,
Rounded up and made to move along,
The loneliness, which can't be spoken,
Just swings a rope,
And rides inside a song.'
'Dead limbs play, with ringless fingers,
A melody, which burns you deep inside,
Oh, how the song becomes the singers,
May peace be ever with you when you ride!'
'In the wind,
Twelve candles glowing,
Reminds you that today you are a child,
The road ahead, forever rolling,
And anything worth crying - can be smiled!'
'So ride, ride 'em jewboy,
Ride 'em all around the old corral,
I'm, I'm with you boy,
If I got to ride six million miles.'
Ummm, what does the song mean by using the term Jewboy??? I think that song is offensive, just my opinion http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
The singer, and the poster, are both Jewish Kasia!
Okay, the singer is Jewish, thats fine and the poster is you, are you saying that you are Jewish? Excuse me but I have had a bit too much to drink this evening... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif
No, Flippin Way :D
Well Shalom to you http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Cool, I am not the only one on here http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
And schicker is a goy!
Hehe, goy! Have not heard that term used in awhile!
I should hope not, it's quite offensive!
Just don't be a Shlemazelle and be a Yiddishe cup!

How come you have such a craving for pork pies with English mustard
Aza, lots of Jews do not follow the laws of Kashrut, many choose to eat pork! As for myself, I refrain from eating pork and only eat Kosher meat, not treife! Some people go to extreme lenghts to keep kosher, seperate cooking pots and dishes for dairy and meat, to me that is a little extreme!
I'm not religious and, er, like pork pies! I also like shrimp, and they're not kosher either.
I am not big on shrimp, and I tried lobster only once to see what the hype was about! I really like scallops and mussells, they are my downfall :( Rules are meant to be broken :D
