These are just a few.
Many people believe that actors are just automatically gay if they play a gay role. In my opinion, that is like saying Christian Bale is really a serial killer.

I don't often give much thought to whether the actor himself is gay in real life, if he (or she) gives a convincing performance, thats good enough.

People have always confused actors with the parts they play. I don't think it's anything new just because "gay characters" have been added to the equation.

Honestly, when I read some people saying that a straight man cannot play a gay character because they're not gay I cringe. It's like, what, do we find a vampire to play a vampire in the movie? The same goes for the situation in which people say that a gay guy cannot play a straight character.

Why would anyone assume that if an actor is playing someone who happens to be gay they in are so in real life? Who would assume this? Seems odd to me. I know that at times if an actor is associated with an ongoing role in a tv series/soap, they be confused for their character as the character is so familiar. This still seems odd to me. People do realise they are acting, right? As in pretending.

Brokeback Mountain was pretty rubbish imo. So bland and boring. I yawned, like a lot.
But yeah, when I saw Prince of Persia, that movie lingered in my mind.
Lil' tiny and skinny Jake has finally bulk up his body. :p And whenever he's with the princess, I can't help but think he's gonna leave her anytime soon as he was gay lmao.

I believe I watched a lesbian love movie once about high school girls (I forgot the name).
The two girls got it on, but one day a boy 'implore' one of the girls and she changed her orientation. That left the other girl desperate for attention and love again as she seeked out her affection for her again. In the end, the girl with the boyfriend resented her.
In her frustration, she climbed the school's high roof and jumped off, committing suicide.

Although she is not a male, but it would be like if Kate Winslet is an adulterous and illiterate Nazi doctor who specializes in viral prevention who will become afflicted with Alzheimer's in her older age.

As a part-time Actor myself who's gay... it's our job to act, whatever role we're given. I can play straight roles convincingly, and also gay roles. There'll always be misconceptions. I'm not too sure what we're discussing exactly. But it is the morning.
