Full Story:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3836252/Deadly-food-addiction-girl-ate-a-lightbulb-and-bricks.html

MEET the toddler who has a deadly food addiction that meant she ate an entire LIGHTBULB and gobbles down bricks like they were biscuits.

Little Natalie Hayhurst is at constant risk of poisoning herself because of a rare condition which makes her crave inedible objects.

The cravings are so bad that the three-year-old nearly died after eating a lightbulb that she tore from a bedroom night-light.

While her favourite delicacies are rocks and sticks, Natalie has been known to wolf down almost a whole brick, 'like it was a chocolate chip cookie'.

How could she eat a brick like that...?

Eating bricks like they were cookies? Gobble down whole bricks? I think not. Would love to see her teeth they must be like iron.

Not very bright is she :p
How many toddlers do it take to change a lightbulb?

3 - 1 to change the bulb, and one to stop the third eating them.

I wont quit my day job, or I wouldnt if I had one.

How does she manage to crunch on bricks? How has she not cut her mouth? Where does she get the bricks from? That's one odd food craving. Why have The Sun put a picture of her with a brick on a plate? I mean, wasn't that rather tempting for her? Wait...this is The Sun we're talking about :pi:

Wtf? How can you fit a brick down your throat?

I won't even dare mention what I actually mis-read the OP as.. :whi:

Wtf? How can you fit a brick down your throat?

I'm sure she breaks them down or something.. :yik:

But the girl is 3 years old... even if she found a hammer or a chainsaw she wouldn't be able to exert enough force to break down a brick...

I'm finding this story hard to swallow.

This is very very bizzare and sounds like a false story to be honest, but if is real, I'd love to know how she breaks down the brick, chews it, and swallows it. :pi: Poor gal. :p

I can see how lightbulbs would be a concern since most houses have them... but who on earth has loose bricks just sitting around the house?

How would she be able to resist the yummy-looking contents of that plate (and the plate itself) just for this picture?

Hmmmm, that alone makes this whole thing rather suspicious. And I haven't even mentioned that the human body isn't exactly accommodated to process bricks and glass.

@voltz: :vlol:!!
I thought spicy meals were bad. :o

It's a rare condition in where people can't stop themselves from wanting to eat objects which are inedible. They can't help it.

Has anyone seen the show "1000 Ways to Die?" if so, you would have an idea of what this is.

Now bricks? Um, unlikely. Anything else that one can actually put into their mouth is actually likely, and not very funny to joke about in my opinion...

DgoOdz94

So now whenever she gets scared, she can ACTUALLY **** a brick?

There's a show called My Strange Addiction; it ranges from a guy who only eats raw meat, to a woman who takes a dirty ass pillow everywhere with her (it's like her security blanket, but a pillow), another woman eats rocks, some guy eats glass, another eats cotton and paper, etc.

It's real

It's sad

It's funny as hell

Weird, yeah. I remember seeing a show once about a young girl who died mysteriously from lead poisoning and so the police carried out a full murder investigation, but it turned out she enjoyed eating loose paint chips when she played on her front porch.
