View Full Version : What would you do if you were me?

Okay I have a BIG problem. As many of you may already know, I'm behind in my schoolwork. I have four exams to present this week since I missed two last week (Bio and Math). Tomorrow I'll be doing two and handing in my unfinished homework or English. What can I do to get through the rest of this week? I'll have to study LOTS for those two major exams and I don't even think I have time for that.

My teachers are going to really dislike me after this http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

So I ask of you- what would you do?

How far behind are you in homework, and why? Had you been sick and missed a few days?

Well, if that was me, I would not do some of it, like just not hand it in, but I do not really think you should take my advice though! I was a bad student, I was always late for class and never passed any assignments in on time...thank heavens for my mum and dad http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Hi Rogue.

Focus on what you are the most behind in or on what you need to study the hardest for. Try and get the difficult stuff done first and work your way down to the easier tasks. Plus don't wear yourself out. If you worry and panic then you won't get anything done. Do what you can and put your best into it.

good luck

Or you can do what I've had to do sometimes; drink some caffeine and stay up studying until 1:30 am. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif I don't know how I function, but I do! lol And my grades are improving....somehow. lol http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif I have an essay test tomorrow that I'm not ready for, never am really, but somehow by the shear grace of God I pass the essays and do really well.

But that probably just works for me. lol

This is good advice (even kasias ;) )

Celli: last week I missed all my classes because I was sick. I had the time to catch up but I left it all for tonight http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif . I have to read a chapter in phychology for tomorrows quiz (not so bad) and I have to do some questions from that chapter (time consuming) and I have to finish some homework (not do-able since I didn't pay enough attention to finding these stupid words when I went through the book) and I have to study for my midterms which are in Bio and Math but those I can do the day after tomorrow. Any tips (anyone)?

So because you missed a week, did they give you a week to make it up? And you're just now doing it?!

Well the way I look at it, it is only school! I have many friends who have burned themselves out over school work, plus high school at that, you are too young to be stressing girl! I did not become responsible for my work until university, I took one of my dad's seminar classes and he really kicked my ass!

~KOnly school? How you do in High School determines where you will go to college at, which will determine the rest of your life! The people who get stressed during high school, are the ones who end up going to Ivy Leagues and becoming the leaders of our country.....

Well, I am not American and as for leaders of countries, I would not call G.W.B a leader, some of the greatest and influential minds in the world did not go to college!

But, I am European (stuck in the USA) and I have a different way of thinking, just my opinion!

You two are great! I agree with Kasia in the case that it's just school and no one should kill themsleves studying or forget to have a life outside of school becasue of all the school work they have. AND I agree with Celli since highschool is a huge determining factor when it comes to what I'll be doing the rest of my life. Right now I'm in an elite program that I HAVE to do well in and keep my marks up or else I'll be kicked out. This program is the only reason I'm GOING to highschool- it's for my future. If I was not accepted into the program I would have been homeschooling "oh happy days". SO... my point is I'm lazy but I need to do well in school if I'm to succeed in reaching my goals. NOW I'm behind and I just need time to study for my major exams. I'm going to be like Kasia and not do all of my work in English since that is my top class (I'm the top student btw :D ) and I can stand to lose marks there. But for my exams I'll have to wake up early and do some cramming (Celli's approach) and then after school I'll study some more.

I better go to bed now and I'll check up on this thread tomorrow morning. I tried the whole caffine thing once with a double expresso and let me tell you: that had my whole body vibrating from the fix it gave me. Woah was I energied! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif
