Here at last-the first exciting book in a bold new series of Lara Croft novels tying directly into the popular video games. The Amulet of Power reveals the never-before-shown events that took place between “The Last Revelation” and “Angel of Darkness”. Trapped beneath the ruins of an Egyptian tomb, Lara faces certain death...until fate intervenes and sets her on the trail of an ancient talisman of power.

You missed it all right. There's been a fair amount of discussion on the AOD board about the book. It came out at the start of December and is available on Amazon.com (among others).

Any readers have anything to say about the content?

I read it!

..and I really enjoyed it. Very easy to read, it only took me about 5 hours. The story does not follow the game story so if you think its going to answer questions it won't. A character named Kevin Mason rescues Lara from the Temple of Horus not someone from an African tribe like what is supposed to happen in the game. The action scenes were very good, I could envision Lara actually doing what is described in the book. The biggest difference is that Lara has a lot of help to find the amulet whereas in the game she usually works alone.

I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Best of all... the author lives in the same city as me!!! Maybe I can get him to sign my copy! :D
