I think I need some help. The past 3 days have been extremely stressful for me and I don't know what to do. Everyday after work I fall asleep in bed because it's too hard to deal with. School is so annoying and so are the teachers. I need something that can calm me down. I'm thinking of staying in Friday because it's too dramatic. Does anyone have any methods to chill out or have any advice? Thanks. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

Take your shoes off and go walk in some grass.

Scream to yourself, or talk to a friend about it - consequently ragging on your evil teachers. It really helps.

Or if you have so much homework, get an agenda or a piece of paper to sort out the work. Place each assignment in the order you work on; easiest assignments to hardest is the best order. Then sort out on which days you will work on those assignments, and which days you will study for your classes. Make sure you leave enough space for the more time-consuming work. For example, this weekend I'll do all the busy work (ie 1-2 page notes, separate pieces of work, short one page book work, etc) on Friday night after school. On Saturday, I'll work on the major project(s). On Sunday, I'll finish up the remaining project(s) - which by this time should be much like busy work - and study for some of the classes. You should probably take a nap to leave time to study in the morning as well.

Everytime you finish an assignment, feverishly cross out the assignment from your agenda/paper (gives me stress relief that I have one less thing to do). Make sure you put every assignment in the order you will do them, and make sure you try to do future work beforehand so you'll have lots of free time over the weekdays.

I find playing computer games takes the stress away....it's great to escape into "another world" for a while ;)
Since reality often tends to be way too stressful! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/c-3.gif

I understand what you're going through... Dosen't matter how strong you are, stress hits you hard ... Their are many ways to deal with it ....When i'm totally stressed out I go to the gym , it helps me forget , at least for a while ... if you dont like exercise, theirs still a good hot bath ;)

You know, I can spend whole day just playing games.
Stress free, plenty of fun, and it soothes nerves.

If your time is limited then I recommend a little something that in the matter of minutes makes it go away....

This may sound silly, but if you only have like 5 min. to de-stress...close your eyes and take long, slow breaths. Exhale through your mouth. Concentrate on slowing down your breathing and loosening the tension in your muscles. I thought that was the stupidest thing I ever heard when my dr. told me that. It sounded like some kind of thing you'd see on tv. I tried it because I had to (the dr. was my heart doctor), and it really works! You'll see that your heart rate actually slows down (which is what I needed to do).

If you have a big chunk of time, go for a walk or play some really cool music -- full blast! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
