i dont think i could get any more nervous for the most simplest operation : having my wisdom teeth out.

well they arent even in but my dentist did an x-ray and said its best to have them out asap because the roots havent formed to the teeth, so itll apparently be an easier operation and recovery. [ i dont see how but anways ]

my doctor is telling me that i have to be put to sleep. this is why im scared. it really bothers me to know that ill be forced to sleep and not wake up for another couple hours, and not wake up during surgery. i dont see how this works, but it just really bothers me :( everyone is telling me how great it is but i dont see how - well other than feeling dopey.

i might not have it today though, because yesteday at work i took 3 motrin because i had a bad headache and i apparently wasnt supposed to the day before surgery. knew it thins your blood, which makes it harder to clot, but the motrin will have worn off 12 hours after i go into surgery. so i think i should be ok

ugh. im so scared. :(

You've likely had the surgery by now. I hope you made out ok. No kind of dental surgery is fun. Stay in bed tomorrow & pamper yourself. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Best of luck with your surgery and the recovery, TR Chik.

I was in a similar situation this summer. The roots on my top teeth hadn't formed entirely, while those on the bottom hadn't formed at all. They decided to take out only the top wisdom teeth. The operation went fairly smoothly and recovery was a breeze.

I still have to get out the bottom set, though, sometime soon. Now that I've done the top ones, I'm not that worried about the upcoming surgery.

Aww, poor TRChick. At least be glad all went well. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif It is just like flying, don't you think? You are in a chair, -fastened your seatbelts- and all you can do is surrender for the moment to the power of the plane. To land safely a few hours later. ;)

Hey TRCh, do you realise how they used to do such operations in the middle-ages? No narcotics, just crick-crac with a pair of pincers and off you go, thank you very much.

After sunday, the swelling will decrease again, and a few days later you'll feel as reborn. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

joseph thank you http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif and thank god im not living in the middle-ages! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

larasfrend and suzan - i did wake up but i didnt feel anything, but i could tell that their hands were still in my mouth so idk what was going on. i guess i was crying tho because i remember a blonde nurse saying it was ok. but after that im not sure what happened. i dont know if they lead me out to the recovery room or if i fell back to sleep.

suzan- id much rather get a filling than go thru that again!ive never had a cavity but they way a couple of my teeth grew, they grew with holes which could become cavities. its such a breeze to get one filled so im sure youll be fine http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

olvidarse - vicodine is good stuff http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

suzan - a lot of my friends have gotten their belly buttons pierced and they said it doesnt hurt when they get it pierced, but it hurts them afterwards. you have to take care of it like it were a baby and they can get infected very easily.

i wanted my tragus pierced but that is the most painful part of your body to get pierced. think of anything you could pierce, and its the most painful.

A month ago, we had on our local television a report about "the most tattooed person in the province". They found some, each one mentioned another they knew saying he had more, living in the neighbourhood. This social 'chain' finally reached THE most tattooed but also PIERCED man i ever saw! There was hardly any natural clean skin left (seen in 'summer outfit, while busy with garden work, he only wore short pants and clogs). He had a beard too. :D
