While on the internet I found this unplesant incident where a mentally disabled teenager was attacked and abused by Police Officers.

(Link removed.)

This is really sad in my eyes.

The purpose of this thread is to ask one question: Why are some Police like this?

Because they're people and some people are assholes.

Yeah, I don't think there's another explanation. We can only hope said assholes will be properly punished.

Those bastards deserve the same treatment, and people wonder why I can't stand police. To protect and serve my ass.

Military torture would be fun payback. I prefer the cattle prod myself. ;)

And this will be where someone states that generalizing isn't any better... and then that will be countered with, 'It's my opinion. Don't like it, too bad!' And then that will be countered with... 'blah, blah, blah'. Gotta love TRF's predictability.

And I was right.

The majority of Police are great people who are there for our protection. But so many officers are corrupt. :(

Disgraceful behaviour from police officers. It's good that the lad got released.

Come visit my town and you wouldn't think that way, and its not just my area either its everywhere. Police think they're above the law.

Police in the US are apparently the worst.

The article didn't mention why the police were trying to talk to him in the first place.

Have you seen what some officers are like in the States?

Have you seen what some officers are like in the States?Yes. Like with all police officers, you get some bad ones that make the entire establishment look bad. However, I think you should research police in countries outside the western world.

Because they are not police. They are phonies who dress up in police outfits... enough said.
