Information:
-The story continues to be about Tier 1 Operators.
-The story is also written by Tier 1 Operators, and loosely follows actual events and operators.
-Now working with over 24 operators for information and feedback, since they were quite happy with MoH1 and a lot more volunteered to help.
-They’re not talking much about multiplayer yet, but we did get a few details.
-The multiplayer will include various international tier 1 factions (British, Australia, German, Polish) and some kind of one-shot, one kill hardcore mode.
-There will also be a co-op mode, but the game won’t have full campaign co-op.
-”There are hook in our multiplayer that are… different.”
-Besides just the missions, the game’s plotline will focus on the personal issues operators face. One example given is about a strained phonecall between an operator and his wife.
-The main characters of the previous games return.
-One of the missions takes place in Isabela City in the Philippines after it has been flooded by a typhoon, creating a venice like scenario with knee high water.
-Again, as it’s based on real events, they don’t want the game to feel like a Michael Bay movie, so you won’t see things like the Eifel Tower exploding.
-However, since it is Frostbite 2, you will see things like the level chipping apart, papers flying, chandeliers swinging, and other things that are more plausible in a combat situation.
-You will sometimes have multiple choices when faced with a situation. One example given is during a hostage rescue, you reach the door to the room the hostages should be in. You can either kick it in, C4 it, throw a grenade in, or use a flashbang. This will presumably change how the next part plays out tactically.
-The rest of this section involves trying to escape the city with two hostages in tow and one of your teammates bleeding out. It’s implied there’s some kind of time pressure here, but not explicitly stated if there’s a clock.
-OXM notes that the biggest difference between the game’s campaign and other modern warfare shooters will again be tonal, so if you’re wondering if you will like the game’s campaign, ask yourself if you want a more polished/improved version of Medal of Honor 2010.
-I imagine this is the mission we’ll see at their March 6th conference.

Like me for one, I can't wait for a new Medal of Honor game.
You can buy it, play it, love it, marry it, procreate with it and have the game with you on your death bed. I can do nothing about that. :p

A video for EA’s Medal of Honor: Warfighter has been released. It’s more of a tease than anything else, but you get the idea: bad guys, soldiers, and lots of shooting.
The video states you can also pre-order the game’s limited edition “at no extra” cost. More details are expected through the official MoH website (http://www.medalofhonor.com/), but it doesn’t seem to have been updated as of press time.

EA and Activision go head to head at Champions League final
Medal of Honor and Black Ops 2 trailers to both air during game
EA and Activision are set to go head to head during this weekend's Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Yesterday it was revealed that Activision will be showing a new Black Ops 2 trailer (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/348011/new-black-ops-2-trailer-to-air-this-weekend/) during the half-time break. Now EA's confirmed it will also be showing a new trailer for rival shooter Medal of Honor Warfighter at the same time. Let the battle begin.
The Champions League will see two of football's titans, Bayern Munich and Chelsea, go head to head and will be shown on ITV1 and Sky Sports from at 7.45pm. Warfighter will get its TV premiere during half-time, at around 8.30pm in the UK. It isn't known when the Black Ops 2 trailer will be shown, but it's likely to be in the same ad break.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter's exec producer Greg Goodrich has said (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/340313/medal-of-honor-dev-wants-to-avoid-annual-call-of-duty-fight/) he wants to avoid the annual war of words that usually kicks off in the build up to EA and Activision's end-of-year FPS releases.

MOH franchise isn't bad comparing what CoD giving us in recent years. Battlefield 3 had poor Single Player storyline. I hope Warfighter will not follow it. Doesn't matter what MP will be in Warfighter, I want the best from Danger Close in Single Player. :)

But if the OP isn't updated with all the media then people will miss a lot and I bet most of the people will not be able to find them out from the middle of a mess. And those general threads have only debut trailer things. I think its very good idea to keep a separate thread for latest titles only. Just my opinion. I will stop these useful OP threads if you guys don't want to see it. :) I don't have a big problem if Nate can keep opening Series threads, there's a lots of missing actually, Battlefield General threads, The Sims General threads, Diablo general threads, Doom general threads and hundreds more. ;)

Licensed real-world weapons, branded tomahawks, a web-based war; if this is authenticity, you can keep it, writes Nathan Brown.
Medal Of Honor: Warfighter (http://www.edge-online.com/filter/all/tags/4246) will allow players to represent their home countries, with a web-based app tracking the progress of 193 nations around the world, EA has confirmed. It's just the latest move in the publisher's apparent bid to make a game that has what Warfighter's announcement press release described as "a dotted line to real-world events". In addition to a story written by US Tier 1 operators while based overseas, Warfighter has also officially licensed a host of real-world weaponry - and you can buy it too, if you want.
Gameological (http://gameological.com/2012/08/partners-in-arms/) was first to spot that weapons manufacturers are among the "brands" EA has partnered with; each has been announced in a dedicated blog post on Warfighter's official site, each linking out to the manufacturer's official website where the gun or attachment of your choice can be ordered and delivered to your local weapons dealer.
A post announcing a partnership with McMillan (http://www.medalofhonor.com/blog/2012/03/shoot-win) - four of whose guns will be in the game - praises the CS5 sniper rifle, with Warfighter's executive producer Greg Goodrich admitting, with no apparent irony, that he was "blown away" by McMillan's new gun. This, EA says, means that "no other gaming brand brings authenticity to life like Medal Of Honor". We don't dispute that, but we're not sure we wanted it in the first place and we want it even less now. Having the military write a story that realistically portrays a Tier One operator's role in a war is one thing, but what possible benefit can there be in allowing - encouraging, even - players to buy real-world equivalents of the meticulously modelled guns they've been using in the game? Do we want a ranking system that will show once and for all which nation is the best at killing people online? Do we really need videogame developers praising a sniper rifle that can be hidden in a backpack and assembled in less than a minute? Of course not. So why do it?
The point, of course, is to differentiate Warfighter from the competition, to give some kind of USP to a game that few people seem to be terribly excited about - and if glamorising war and fetishising weapons gets the job done, EA appears to be fine with it. War is, to put it mildly, a distasteful business - it's just one of the many reasons why we're not in the military - and while licensed real-world products are hardly new to games, and Warfighter is far from the first shooter to sport officially licensed weaponry, this is on a completely different level. If this is authenticity, you can keep it.

EA has announced plans to cross-promote Medal of Honor: Warfighter (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/xbox-360/fps/12616/medal-of-honor-warfighter/) alongside Zero Dark Thirty, a Hollywood movie based on the real-life special forces mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden.
The partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment will take the form of a Medal of Honor map pack and result in a $1 million minimum donation to charities benefiting North America's veterans. The Medal of Honor: Warfighter Zero Dark Thirty Map Pack will be available for sale in North America the week of December 17 for $9.99, or free to owners of the game's Limited Edition pack.
Players that pre-order Medal of Honor Warfighter before the game launches on October 23 are ensured a copy of the Limited Edition.
The Zero Dark Thirty pack will include two multiplayer maps inspired by real world locations and for each sold EA will donate $1, with donations split among participating nonprofits.
The first map is Darra Gun Market, set in Pakistan's "flourishing arms bazaar." Darra is the largest illegal arms market in the world, with no police allowed to enter and laws made by a tribal leader.
The second map in the ZDT pack is Chitral, which is a remote, rugged area north of Pakistan governed by tribes that will not allow even the Pakistani army to operate there.
In Europe, the Pakistan maps and SEAL team 6 inspired weapon loadouts will be included in the Medal of Honor Warfighter The Hunt Map Pack, also available the week of December 17 for £7.99.
EA COO, Peter Moore said of the pack: "Medal of Honor Warfighter is inspired by real world events, real operations, and real warriors. We've teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to give back to the Special Operations community in honor of the sacrifices they and their families have made for their country and to connect people to the story of the greatest manhunt our world has seen."

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will allegedly follow in Battlefield 3′s footsteps by being spread across two discs and offering an HD texture install option, according to senior designer Ben Jones.
Speaking with Videogamer (http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/medal_of_honor_warfighter/news/medal_of_honor_warfighter_spans_two_discs_on_xbox_ 360_hd_texture_installation_likely.html), Jones was asked about Warfighter coming on two discs, to which he replied, “I think that might be a reality for us as well. Yeah, the only reason I want this one is for the single player experience. I have never been a fan of Multiplayer, I mean I'll play it sometimes but after 20 minutes it gets boring lol.

7 Navy SEALs disciplined for role with video game
(CBS News) The U.S. Navy SEALs are part of an elite force that operates in the shadows, best known for killing Osama bin Laden. However, CBS News has learned a group of SEALs has been disciplined for revealing secrets.
The seven members of SEAL Team Six are all still on active duty. One of them was on the raid which killed Osama bin Laden and made SEAL Team Six a household name. For two days this spring and summer, they worked as paid consultants on a recently released video game, "Medal of Honor: Warfighter."
Four other members of the team who have since transferred out of the unit but are still on active duty are under investigation.
The game does not recreate the bin Laden raid, but it does portray realistic missions, such as an attack on a pirates' den in Somalia. It was produced by Electronic Arts, which boasts that real commandos, both active duty and retired, help make its games as realistic as possible.
It is unclear what secrets members of SEAL Team Six gave away, but while serving as consultants for the game, they used classified material which had been given to them by the Navy. They also violated the unwritten code that SEALs are silent warriors who shun the spotlight.
In fact, the SEALs have been buried in an avalanche of publicity, some of it approved by Adm. William McRaven, the commander of the bin Laden raid and now the head of the Special Operations Command, for instance, the movie "Act of Valor."
"Yes, there are SEALs, I think eight of them, active duty Navy SEALs, that are in it," said McRaven. "It started as a recruiting film."
SEAL Team Six will be featured in two upcoming movies: One about the rescue of the captain of a container ship kidnapped by Somali pirates, the other about the bin Laden raid. The SEALs have gone Hollywood, but it could cost those who worked on the video game their careers.
The seven who have been punished so far all received letters of reprimand which would kill their chances for promotion. They also had half their pay taken away for two months.
