Ok, I need all of your best wishes again.....tomorrow's our final presentation on the project work. I'm really nervous bcz I've hated presentations since first grade.....I always get really nervous(with shaking hands, trembling voice and all that comes with it :( ) I know that I should calm down, that everything will go fine, that it'll pass by fast and that I'll be really relieved once it's over, but that doesn't comfort me that much now. I've been freaking over this presentation for over a month now!!!!! I'm trying to finish it off now, despite of my really bad hang-over :( I probably won't be able to sleep tonight at all :( http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif

Good luck Marianne! I really sympathize with you, I hate speaking in front of an audience too. Like you said though, you'll be fine once you're up there and it'll be over before you know it! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

TC: Thanks mate http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif I'm not only going to present it for my class(had it only been that well), but for both of the multimedia classes AND at least three teachers AND all of the employers the groups have had http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif It'll be a full conferenceroom and we(luckily we're five people on our group) are having a PowerPoint presentation....it has to last at least 30 minutes and we have to defend everything we've made http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif I haven't been this nervous since I had to hold an 80 minutes lecture for my LA Culture class over in the US :(

It helps if you don't get yourself all worked up about it. Tonight, before you go to bed, have a warm bubble bath and read a book. I think that'll help calm you down. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/cutie.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Good luck Marianne. It's never easy to speak in front of people and I doubt anyone likes it. Try to pretend that you are in a comfortable place, and that the room is empty. I know it's easier said than done, but use your imagination. And even though eye contact is important, try looking at people's foreheads instead. And remember to pace yourself. I used to be terrible at public speaking and I always went through it too quickly which only made me more nervous. It's ok to take deep breathes and think about what you are going to say next. And even if you make a mistake, just laugh about it and continue on.

I'm sure you will be fine. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanks a lot Bella http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif
At least now I got good news: the other members on the group have asked me if I want to be the one to be in charge of the Power Point documents, so all I have to do is to click the pages while the others speak and to say something at all, I'll be introducing the group and speak about who we've been working for....at least that's a relief
