I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan and have been ever sine the game has first came out. I just decided to post my pics and see what y'all think. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif The first one I drew was back right after the game was released in 2002 ( Right before I turned 16). The second picture I drew a few months ago on an envelope, because I was going to send it into gameinformer's envelope art contest, but I didn't because I knew it wouldn't win. And the third picture I just drew yesterday. Kairi is one of my favorite video game characters, because they made her a kind, sweet person, and it's pretty rare you see video game characters like that.

Any way, I drew the last picture on some pretty big paper, so it didn't all fit in the scanner, which resulted in all of that shadow in the background. I did some shading in the picture, but the shadows in the background I didn't do, that's the scanner's fault. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Could some one please resize these a tad bit smaller please? I tried on photobucket, but they were too small then. These bigger pics show more detail, but they are a little too big, don't you think?

Yeah it's undeniable abilities in drawing...well all sort of small details can be consummate, thought. BUT all in all these are really great drawings!

awww, thanks guys. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Oh, and thanks for pointing out the flaws in my pictures too Apofiss. I like it when people critique my work so I can improve. However, call me stupid, but I don't really understand what you meant when you said the small details can be consummate? Could some one please enlighten me on this? Did you mean that it was incomplete? Sorry for being so dumb, but I would like to know so I can improve on it. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Really nice drawings.

And since you want some critique... :D Some very small details which you could work at:
The eyes on the first drawing's characters are slightly too high up on their faces. They're fine on the others though.
The hand on the first drawing needs the most work; try holding your own hand in that position and angle (or take a photo of your hand to use instead if you need to draw with that hand) to draw it. The glove seems to have thrown the hand out of proportion; the fingers look like they start too far up and the palm looks too long (look at your own palm; it's about as wide as it is long; also the thumb looks way too long and it bends kinda wierd at the top - perhaps move the joint down a few millimetres. But judging from the fact you don't have any other hands drawn, they ain't your strong point; hands are the toughest bits of a drawing (aside from the face) to draw properly.
The muscles seem a bit strange, the lines are drawn too hard where it's just a subtle curve you should shade lightly instead (eg. the arm on the first drawing) and the last pic's arm (the one at the back) has a slightly odd shape; the curve should taper down a little towards the wrist from the elbow, not the other way round.
The head on the last pic is too big, but I'm not sure if that's the effect you were going for, so I'll ignore it.
Lastly, make your shadows more pronounced, use a heavier line to outline round the edge of the dark side of the characters to make them stand out more. Perhaps make a second copy of them all then ink them (black pen)?

Thanks for the critique geck-o-lizard. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif You are exactly right, the hands are my weakness. Oh, and hair too. If you notice the second pic of Sora, the shading of the hair looks weird. Oh, and the heads are supposed to be too big. It's an anime video game, and the heads are a lot bigger than they are supposed to be. And the last picture, Kairi's arm really does have that wacko shape in the game too. haha. That's anime for ya. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif Oh, and your shading tip sounds great too. I'll definitely remember what you said and try to improve. Thanks so much, you really helped me out a lot. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif You have a good eye. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

WOW! I love your pics melonie! Kingdom Hearts is one of my favourite all time games. It has a special "magic" feel about it which is hard to describe. Are you looking forward to the sequel? I can't wait for it!

TR3LaraCroft, I think your pics are great too. The one of Lara looks so life-like.

Some very talented people we have on this forum I can tell you...

Oh I'm so excited, two other forum members obsessed with Kingdom Herats like I am!!!!!! I just bought Chain of Memories for the GBA yesterday ( I was going to buy it was soon as it was released, but it got questionable reviews is why I waited so long) and it is so fun! I've only played it for about an hour so far though, but I'm definitely going to play a lot more today and everyday afterwards until I beat it. Oh, and I've started on the original Kingdom Hearts yet again a few days ago. I haven't gotten back to it though, because I have loads of studying to do for school next week. I have 3 test and one quiz in one week, that's just brutal!

Any way, I can't wait for KH 2. I have so many questions about what will happen. And you know those new screenshots of that girl with the red, shoulder length hair and blue plaid skirt? You think that could be Kairi? I'm so curious! I'll have to PM y'all,Undertaker and buring light, so we can talk more about the game. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Oh, and thanks so much TR3 for sending teh link for that website, I'll definitely post my work there. I love your drawings, they are great! Especially the one of AJ, it's so lifelike! You're a great artist. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Oh, and as always, thanks everyone for all your feedback. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Actually, Chain of memories is different. It looks the same because Sora is rememberring the places he went to before and is reliving them in his memory. It is a lot different though, and plus it gives more information about the story. I think it's a lot of fun. Plus, the beginning preview is actually in 3D graphics! I didn't know that the GBA could actually show it. This game also has a card based fighting system, which is a lot different than the original KH. It's really cool, but takes a little while to get used to. I like it though.

Oh, and thanks for the complement on my drawings, Sin. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
