OMG! I had such a bad day!! I was walking to school today with my three friends and about 13 (older) guys came out and starting throwing stones at us! One tried to trip me up and threw their bags at my head! A rock missed my cousin's head by inches! We did not provoke them at all and there they were shouting abuse at us and trying to fight us! For god's sake, we're girls on our way to school! >_< Cowards!!
Ever felt that the whole world is against you?

Oh that's just horrible!
More proof that there are so many sick people out there in the world.
I feel so bad for you and your friends being jumped on like that...
That part about the whole world being against you, yes I've felt like that several times, luckily there's always another day after those bad ones, and like I've said before, what is your bad reality today will only be tomorrows memories...
Hope you feel better... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

I'm sorry to hear that this happened. Something does seem fishy about it. Do you have any enemies in school that might want to do something this despicable?

And if I was in this situation (and was a female) I'd be afraid of encountering these thugs again for fear of something worse happening.

Is it legal to carry concealed weapons in Ireland?

I am sorry that you had such a frightening encounter. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif
But sadly enough the world is not always such a nice and safe place to live in. Therefore I think it is important to make the most and best of the good moments, value them, live them to the full, be thankful for them and not take them for granted.
And I myself try in general to be friendly and nice to people, just that little bit more.
A smile doesn't cost that much, but helps to make the world a better place. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Everyday when I watch the news someone has always been killed by a weapon in my near towns. It never ends...

Wow, Thorn! In my town (850.000+ habitants) that maybe happens 2, 3 times a year.
Thread's topic is children being hostile to others. I grew up in a very small village. Our family settled there coming from north-middle part of country ("above the rivers" we say), my father had just found a job in the south, near the village.

The local peasant kids considered us aliens. That never changed. Not seldom, fights were very fierce. It was always: they attacked us. Luckily, there came more and more aliens living in the village, which was good for the social culture.

Oh, Suzan: will you please not do this: kicked their a*s!! First: the word 'ass' is not censored, second: just type what you have to say, without trying to circumvent the censoring system. Some words will automatically get replaced by the stars, just let that be. Thanks.

"Weapons" doesn't necessarily mean Guns. It could be mace or a stun gun. Those are considered weapons, it's just that they're not as lethal as a firearm. But if it's not legal then Cato shouldn't bother. I was only asking. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif

Maybe she could take a Self Defense class. Or perhaps more to wantafanta's liking: Diplomacy 101. :D

Is it legal to carry concealed weapons in Ireland? No. They were older pupils from another school, a hand-full even from a college of some sort. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif They just didn't share our views on things. Sectarianism is a horrible thing.

Yes, it is illegal to carry weapons like guns of knives. But in self-defense, non-lethal weapons like mace is allowed, I believe.

Thanks to everyone for their concern. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif
