Everytime i have purchased a new game,i am totally consumed by it!Sometimes to much so,I can sit down and play for 12 hours straight.I have sometimes driven my wife mad! It's a wonder she hasnt left! :(

How about everyone else?I'm curious,or am i the only one who SOMETIMES puts games before everything else?

Right now, my inner balance is as follows:

School work > Games.

The best one ive got is when i was playing AOD and my son's nappie needed to be changed, but i left it for a couple of minutes and when i went to find him,he had done a ****!and smeared it All over his bedroom walls and ran all his cars through it!!A great clean up job!

lol ... generally i play my new games until I complete them (or fall asleep).

only if it is one i've been looking forward too for ages though. otherwise i just can't justify spending more than an hour on it.

as most games are about 15-20hrs long, well heh
this said me and a few mates with each of the Guild Wars Beta weekends quite literally played from 00:00 Friday to 00:00 Monday.. something like 72 hours of gameplaying with quick 4-5hr sleeping in-between.

When you have something that is so limited with so much it was damn hard to put down. We'd gone so stir crazy by the end of each weekend we were doing some crazy things in-game though.

Still the amount of time we spent playing and bug reports / suggestions we sent during that time earnt us free exclusive access to the unlimited Beta that they only gve to the top clan. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif So all was well heh.

I'm getting better though, RE4 I played in 2 sessions of ~8hours each. Actually got "some" work done. heh

I get crazy when I play games. They really take control of me. Not in the way that I'd sit down and play them for hours on end more like, well, say I'm playing a war game I'd wear a helmet while playing it. Or if I'm playing Thief I'd play it in the dark. ^^;

video games are evil...you wouldnt believe how many jobs ive got fired from just coz i took a week off to play a new game (AoD was one of them, only took two days to finish, that was a bit of a waste of a week off!!)
oh well, as long as ive got my fridge stocked up with Stella i don't care (i quit smokin and started drinkin more-just a little bit...isnt life fun?)
I also take the 1st monday of every month off to watch the Terminator trilogy...i really need a life...

If game is really good then play time per day is about 8 (or even more http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif ) hours per day, BUT there aren't a lot of good games around, so lately not playin' too much (just replaying some) Still waiting for: AOE3, HL2:A, TRL, GTA:SA and B&W 2.

I play a lot but I don't do it all at one time. It takes me a looong time to finish games but at least I can enjoy the game longer.

i love playing games especially if the story is really good. Does neone find though that if they hold a controller for about 10-15hrs they get cramp?? or am i the only one???

emmarosecroft, after years of practice my hands are now 'conditioned'. Well suited to the continuous playing required!

When I get a new game I really like, I play like crazy. I play till my computer crashes.
