Basically, just post any mistakes you find in the games here.
All:
In official artwork, Lara is depicted wearing a green shirt. But in the games, she wears a blue shirt.
TR1:
In FMVs, Lara has a ponytail, but in the actual game, she doesn't.
In Lara's home, Lara tells you how to run. However, she only tells you after you have already ran about a meter so why does she even bother?
TR2:
In Lara's home, you can hear Winston even if you are on the opposite side of the mansion to him.
Golden Mask:
When you see the key on the ground in 'Cold War', it's greyish, yet when it's in your inventory, it's yellow.
TRLR:
Lara has no scrunchee in her hair. She also doesn't in TRC and AOD.
On your second visit to the Temple of Karnak,
when baddies shoot you, you hear a 'watery' noise.
TRC:
In 'Sinking Submarine', Admiral Yarofere is lying in a square room, next to a ladder. Yet in the next FMV, he's in a rectangular room with lots of machinery and the ladder is gone.
In a few cut scene close-ups, you can see Lara has a green line on her nose.
In the FMV at the beginning of the Ireland levels, Young Lara is wearing her blue top, but not her backpack or green vest. Yet when she gets off the boat she was stowing on, she has them on.
Pierre falls into the hole in Rome, and we know he hits the ground because his bones crunch. Yet when Lara falls down, he's gone!
AOD:
How come the guards in Le Serpent Rouge don't realise that the music and disco lights have suddenly started?

Dom there's no need to be rude!

On your second visit to the Temple of Karnak,
when baddies shoot you, you hear a 'watery' noise. I noticed this too, but it only ever happened in the PC version. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

In AOD, the most glaring mistake was at the end of Von Croy's apartment. Lara has pants on throughout the gameplay, but in the FMV when she jumps out of the exploding building, she has her short outfit on.

Far to many to mention I think!

Hi 3 links theory, welcome to the forum.

Hmm, i could swear i did the same topic once. Maybe it was in another Forum Board.

Nextime, leave spaces. I get confused reading your topic.

This one is not really a mistake. (TR1: In FMVs, Lara has a ponytail, but in the actual game, she doesn't) When Eidos first created Tombraider, they did not know how to make a ponytail fly freely. They only gave her a ponytail in the FMV's.

(TRC: In the FMV at the beginning of the Ireland levels, Young Lara is wearing her blue top, but not her backpack or green vest. Yet when she gets off the boat she was stowing on, she has them on.) Hmm, never noticed that.

Thanks for the welcome.
Anyway, here are more:
TR1:
In the FMV at the beginning of 'Caves', Lara pulls a knife out of her sock to cut the rope with. The knife is never seen again.
TRLR:
In the FMV{yet another FMV mistake} before 'Gardian of Semerkhet', Lara uses a torch to illuminate the hieroglyphics on the wall. The torch never appears again.
TRC:
In the FMV{yawn} before 'The 13th floor' Lara uses one of her pistols to shoot open a window of VCI headquarters. But she doesn't have her pistols...

i noticed that horrible green line in TRC. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
the biggest mystery of the game is, how is Lara able to carrie so many things in her small backpack...

Okay this isn't really mistake as much as it might be a glitch with my game. On TR3 for PS the cut scenes seem to have a timing problem with (for instance) after Lara escapes the indian temple to find that guy on the raft getting away, and the boulders fall from the sky, the boulders are hitting - then like a fraction of a second later you hear the 'crash' sound. It's worse than a Kung-Fu movie I tell ya. Also, I'm not seeing a small picture of the items that Lara picks up in the lower right hand corner of the screen. :(

TR4TLR: Here is a weird mistake in the game i found. LEVEL 5: VALLEY OF THE KINGS. Lara is driving in her jeep, chasing the bad guy's. They shoot grenades at her, yet she never get's a scratch. Lara get's a grenade gun and blows people to bits, now is Lara suddenly immortal or what.

Also, I'm not seeing a small picture of the items that Lara picks up in the lower right hand corner of the screen. There's nothing wrong there. They got rid of the pictures in TR3.

That's weird Daventry. Whenever I play it, I always get injured from their grenades. I always have to make sure I'm on full health before I get in the jeep, because they drop a grenade when Lara's getting in the jeep, causing me unavoidable damage.

Well i have the PC version, it appears that TR-Player has the playstation version. What do you have.

Anyway, i climbed into my jeep and drove to a spot where we both stood still. I even left the jeep and they kept pumping those grenades at me. Not a scratch was on me.

I don't even have it. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif I've only hired it for the playstation. Perhaps it's a PC thing. Do the SAS guard's grenades hurt you?

This is stupid to say about this, but still it's a mistake. Most Maria Doria levels have texture mistakes in some areas. Wrong texture I mean.

I can't say I've noticed this to be honest in the PC version...I'll check later. TR-Player is right though, they do hurt you in the PlayStation version. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Angel of Darkness

At the start, when lara is being hunted by the police, a cinematic comes up showing a nightvision view from the helicopter. Before the screen changes back to Lara, we see her grasping her shoulder as if to band through the door. When the screen changes, she kicks it in instead.

A.O.D
In the fernance, below the hall of seasons, there are reanimated bones, pits of lava, spikes and traps... but on the stair case at the enterance... THERE ARE BARRISTERS! What's the point in that!? I would've thought that the monks and stuff would've wanted to kill people, not help them down steps!

Thought of something weird!! ;)
In TR1 we get to kill both Pierre and Larson, yet in TR5 they appear again!!
Now one might think that the story with the philosophers stone from TR5 might have taken place BEFORE TR1 then.
But this can obviously not be the case since we kill them both in TR5 too.... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
Hmmm......so are we killing the ghosts of Pierre and Larson in one of those games then?? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ;)

Hmm i dunno if this is said already, but in TR4: Alexandria Lara goes up the stairs to jean yves's office, the FMV begins but see? Lara appears behind Jean, tho the stairs are in opposite direction  or i dunno, maybe im just stupid or sumthin http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
PS. maybe taz meant that is general chat proper for this disgussion, as this is about TR mistakes.

But where else should this discussion be then??
I mean it's not about a specific Tomb Raider game so it wouldn't be right in any of the other threads.
It's just a general discussion about Tomb Raider overall, meaning it concern all Tomb Raider games.......
So I wouldn't say this is the wrong place... ;)
