Hi everyone!! Just wanted everyone to know that I have converted the T-Rex Encounter music from TR 1 to .wav format and it works pretty well as my Windows Log-on music. I also have the perfect music from TR 1 as Windows Log-off music.

If anyone wants me to send them a zipped file of either one or both, send me an e-mail at TRShandroid@aol.com or PM me.

TR Chronicles.com has this theme music, but I believe it is in wma format and I don't know if that works in Windows sound theme. Also, I add it as Windows Log-on and Windows start up, and Log-off and Exit otherwise, for me, it starts late.

Anyhoo, if anyone wants them, let me know!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanks for taking the time to do this. I don't believe Windoz wants to do a .WMA audio format for a system sound. Maybe thats why it plays late. Try using an audio converter such as the free and very cool DB poweramp converter:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

will convert to a .wav format, which is easier for Windoz to play.

Hi DD http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif Actually, I did convert the music to wav, I never did convert to wma. What I did was put my Playstation game in the CD-Rom drive and open it in Roxio. Then I had Roxio convert the music I chose into wav format. Thanks tho! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I have Music Match Jukebox and one of it's features is converting files. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif Just thought I'd mention it. ;)

Hey, I didn't realize this!! I have MMJ and didn't know it converted files, and is much better it appears than Roxio, because it converts from wav to MP3 and other formats. Roxio only converts from CD format to wav. Thank you!!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Okeeeee...The T-Rex file is 10MB, the other file is 2MB and when I try to send them to those folks who want them, I get a returned mail error. I guess you have to check to see the max file size your mailbox will accept. Sorry!!!

I am going to tell you how I did this in case you want to do it for yourselves. If you have the Playstation TR 1 game. Or TR2 works too, but the good themes are too long to work for a Log on.
Put the game in your CD-Rom drive and open Roxio or Musicmatch.

In either one, you select the drive, then scroll down until you see the audio files. These will be the only ones to show up. Select convert files. These will end up in your music folder if that is where you put them. Then you copy these to C drive, Windows, Media folder. Then open control panel, change sound theme, and put in the new music under Win. log on, log off, start windows and exit windows, and you are done!!

Ok, I just figured out, thanks to the wonderful Capt. Murphy, that I can convert the files to mp3 and send them off to you guys. That is if you have a converter at home to convert the files to wav.

Let me know, I will send them off to whomever!!
