Being developed on Norway, this MMORPG promises to be different and unique...

I may be getting into this game pretty serious when it releases (not even in Beta yet)...

It has a lot of the things I want to try with Baltierra, so it could prove educational as well...

WoW is nothing revolutionary, its just yet another typical MMORPG with no originality...

I like games that try new things: PlanetSide, Darkfall, and some others...

I like strategy yes, but Im much more into tactical type of games, more of a smaller local fight than a world spanning war...

Well I would rather be a guy leading a squad of 10 ppl in an FPS then a general leading an army in an RTS...

I like the big logistics and structure, but sometimes simple is just plain better...

Uru's a great game, and it was developed by the Miller Brothers, the same ones who did Myst and Riven. So the fan base is huge. And the game is non-violent (which is quite unusual and a very popular feature among the fans). Oh, And Peter Gabriel's music is absolutely teriffic (as is the other music in the game). From my perspective, Uru is better than AoD in every way, except perhaps music (hard to beat the LSO).

IMO, the Myst series is one of the most intellectual, adult computer game series. The story is always very highly developed and the puzzles are the best in the industry. The graphics have always been very original and unique. Uru has all these factors plus a modern game engine. The single player version runs great.

The online part though has given them problems. It is such a big, graphically rich environment that there have been slowdowns in gaming speed, and dial-up folks need not apply. I haven't been back in over a month so I don't know what the story is ATM.
