Oh. My. God.

Disney FINALLY released a 2-disc version of Pocahontas http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif !!! This is one of my favorite Disney movies! It's not as good a Beauty & the Beast or The Little Mermaid, But it's definitly on my top 10 list. The new DVD features a new song, sung by Mel Gibson, that is intergated into the movie. The song, "If I Never Knew You" was until now only heard in the ending credits. I personally feel that this song gives the movie a much more "adult" feel, and it's the first time I almost cried in an animated movie http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/clown.gif !!! The lyrics to this song are so amazing, and it really means somthing when you can apply it to a relationship that you once had. Has anyone watched this DVD yet? What do you think? I'll post the lyrics to the song if anyone wants to see them...

Pocahontas was definitely one of my favorite Disney movies as a kid. Brings back memories of a simpler time, doesn't it? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif My mom even enjoyed the story.

But I thought they closed the Disney "Vault?" Hmm... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif

While I agree Pocahontas was a good film, and the second one wasn't too bad... it pales compared to Mulan http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I liked thier whole 'let's create movies based on history' stint. Produced some very enjoyable family movies not just kid orientated. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Ahh, yes Mulan was rather good, and so was the emperors new groove, but I'm not sure if I would still like them if I rewatched them.

I was never particulary fond of Pocahontas. Last time I watched it I was about seven years old, so I would propably hate it by now. ;)

id have to disagree and say disneys last few movies, like pochantas, and mulan (in terms of actual drawing instead of 3D animation)

were SERIOUSLY lacking

emporer's new groove was good though.

i miss the good old days:

the beauty and the beast

the little mermaid

the lion king

aladdin

sigh

beauty and the beast was THE best disney film ever.

no question.

FYI

FASCINATING FACT HERE PPLE:

beauty and the beast is the ONLY animated film to EVER be nominated for best picture at the academy awards...ALONGSIDE live action movies.

EVER!

beauty and the beast rocks
