Thanks AE, I made it from "Blue Boat" by Winslow Homer, my fav painter. I'm OK, considering...I live by the "it can always be worse" creed. You?

My kids would like Xmas in May Neil, but me - that's my last chance to get out on the water before the blackflies http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yikes.gif

Gonga darling I couldnt agree more. That creed is a little threadbare at the moment, mind if I borrow some of yours? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

02-02-04, 00:32

02-02-04, 00:38
Sadly no Celli. Although anything slightly tennis related is splashed all over the media. But one time I did see Dawn Fraser. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif

02-02-04, 00:42

02-02-04, 00:46
LMAO neil! :D

AE - Who is Dawn Fraser? So then was it big huge news when Lleyton Hewitt got engaged to Kim Clijsters? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/yuck.gif

02-02-04, 01:11
Look Celli! Neil made us down under!

I bookmarked that site Neil because it has great implications for teaching about maps.

Yeah, it teaches us that Antarctica really doesn't exist. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ;)

02-02-04, 01:57
Ya can't map an oblate spheroid on a 2-dimensioanl piece of paper. Whether they go with a Mercator, Robinson, conic or some other projection, Antartica will always be where they allow the most distortion, so some just leave it off.

Celli: Yeah kinda. Lleyton is gorgeous, I was NOT happy with that news. Patty Rafters wedding and birth of son was HUGE news.
Dawn Fraser is an Olympic swimming champion. I dont know if you are aware, but Australia is very proud of our champion swimming status. Dawn is a golden oldie. She won most Gold medals for a female Olympic swimmer ever. She is an Australian Sporting Legend. ;)

02-02-04, 05:06
Pat Rafter is awesome though! :D lol Could never beat Sampras though....

I was going to say something about Lleyton and Kim but I don't think I should now. ;)

Australia big on swimming, well you learn something new everyday. lol Is the "Thorpedo" from Australia?

02-02-04, 06:19
Thorpey? Of course!!! Ian Thorpe is Australias love child. We adore that boy! How many Gold's did he rake in for us at Sydney 2000?

Heard he was gay though. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/flirt.gif Why are all the cute sporty guys unavailable??

02-02-04, 06:55

[EDIT: oops lol well i was referring to the topic http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif ]
