I wish my transcript could have been better, but it's still pretty good. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm going to graduate with a 3.675 and 54th in my class. That's cummulatively. For just my Senior year, I rocked! :D lol 4.125 GPA and 10th in my class. :D

Forgive me. What do you mean your transcript? A transcript of what?

Celli

Hi tlr http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

A transcript tracks your grades and GPA throughout high school, and also tells you what your class rank is. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Celli that's simply impressive, great work http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

My GPA was a tiny 3.0 or something, but i was still 14th in class over the 4 years, goes to show how bad Tech schools can be http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

14th? We'll be lucky if anyone in the top 10 has below a 4.0 http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Thanks for the info. Is 5.0 good? What is the scale from lowest to highest?

Draco
08-02-04, 04:44
My GPA was about 1.8...

justin
08-02-04, 04:46
it's on a 0.0 to 4.0 for most U.S. highschools

bumb1ebee

Are your schools small? My high school is huge (2500 kids) and to be in the top 10 percent, you basically need a 4.2+ GPA overall (5.0 scale). So to be 10th overall, you'd probably need a 4.5 or higher.

The higher your grade point average, the better... right?

justin

My Technical highschool had a total of 800 students, my senior class was 150 http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

almost everyone in the entire school knew eachother...

@bumblebee - depends on where you are. My city is fairly small, but we still have 1,500 students in the high school. If you get towards larger cities like Ann Arbor, the high schools have at least 5,000 students.

The system we have in the UK is A (A+ distinction) through G. G is failure in a chosen subject.

My high school only had a couple hundred, my class finished with ~54. The closer to the last year, the more drop-outs there was.

At 298, we're the smallest class to graduate in years. We've lost about 80 people since Freshman year, but we still came in as a small class.

Geez... dropping school, can't people just tough it out? High school's truthfully not that hard.

Let's see....

1 person is in prison
1 has a warrant out for her arrest
1 died in December
At least 5 have dropped out after getting pregnant
Quite a few have moved to other states or school districts
But most think high school isn't important to life...

Well done Celli! Pats on the back, you deserve it. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

Intresting how Americans insist on not using the very simple very easy 1:100 ratio. Such as kilometres!!

Our school rating system is simple. You get a UAI (Univeristy Admissions Index) out of 100 depending on your amount of work and intelligence over a 2 year period. Highest in my school was 96. I got 85. Minimum to get into uni is 70.

School was too easy for me. The only problems I had were the other kids, which is where I seem to have picked up me fighting technique and language ;)

Justin: I will love it. And PM you all my homework. ;)

Oh, just another reason I hate my job:

My boss told me he was praying that I wouldnt get accepted into Uni so that I could stay and work fulltime.

How f****d is that?

Indeed. The study of human behaviour is fascinating.

Re: your boss. This is a fairly typical reaction, and I guess only you would know if his intent was mocking or serious.

Our school grading system is simple too. It just depends on what you're used to, I suppose. I agree, we need to convert to the metric system!

We used to have that 5.0 scale here but it was changed into a new (and terrible) system just in time for my class to get grades. Grades aren't given or presented before 8th grade here...

Now we have
G which can be translated to "You barely just made it",
VG - "Ok, so you made it... Big Deal!", and
MVG - "So you managed to get a full score on every test, attend every single class AND you were nice to your teacher. Good for you!"
