View Full Version : Very good FREE online virus scanner
BitDefender Online Scanner is a fully functional antivirus product. It features all required elements for thorough antivirus scanning and effective cleaning: it scans your system's memory, all files, folders and drives' boot sectors, providing you with the option to automatically clean the infected files.
I use AVG Anti Virus.........is that good one?
I use McAfee http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
tlr is talking about ONLINE scanning. That is a different thing than what you two mention.
8. Does Online Scanner protect my computer from getting infected?
No, BitDefender Online Scanner scans the computer only for existing viruses. For a complete protection use the commercial versions.
Every once in a while, when i feel some malware might have slipped in while my pc was unprotected for a moment, i go to Symantec Security Check.
The good thing about Online Bitdefender is that iy can actually remove infections, that's new. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

I use avast! Antivirus, along with Yahoo! Anti-spyware, SpywareBlaster, and Ad-Aware SE.
EDIT: Oops, I thought this was a thread about anti-virus software in general. I've never used an online scanner because they take too long. :D
