I too didn't know you could play the Guitar. I've been practicing on one for over a year (and a 1/2) I think. The guitar I bought is a 1963 or 73 Teisco Electric Guitar with a Sunburst design and a Spring Tremelo(?) bar. Anyway, I've never confirmed it but it I have heard that it may be worth around $1,400.oo. And I only bought it for $44.

Hello every one. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif I see there are a lot of ebay lovers here lol. That is so cool that you got such a great deal on your guitar Murphey! That is so awesome. SO you are teaching yourself too? I started teaching myself accoustic about 3-4 years ago. My dad had toteach me the chords though lol, but basically every thing I know is self taught. Oh and that's a cute little change purse TRChik. Oh, and college has been going great so far. I have reached the halfway point for this semester. :D SO nice to talk with you guys and sorry I haven't emailed you in so long Trevor, I'll try and get around to emailing you soon. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/hug.gif

Actually I bought my Guitar at a Thrift store. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif Not a charitable type but people give things for them to sell and they get some money back from it. I guess that's how it works. Also, I'm paying for lessons for now anyway. It's once a week and $6 a lesson. Right now I'm learning finger picking. I've also learned quite a few chords but I'm not very good at it. :( Switching from one to the other and the strum patterns themselves are what get me. I also have an Accoustic. I got a good deal on that too. It's that one that's sold by Esteban. If you've ever seen that infomercail - you know what I'm talking about. It sells for $99.00. It's the "Gift of Guitar". :D

http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif BTW: There's no 'e' in Murphy. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif At least - for me anyways.

TRChik, dear, if you multiply your little wallet's price by 4, you get $580, which roughly would be about a "fair" price (if you are Madonna) for a purse that is 4 times its size.

Oops, sorry for spelling your name wrong Murphy. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/redface.gif Any way, like I said before you found a great deal. My mom and I sell/buy stuff at thrift stores too. Anyway I think the hardest things for you to learn were the same with me. I had LOADS of trouble with swithching chords fast enough and I also had trouble with learning new strums. To be quite honest I just recently started to get the new different strums down pat, I used to only use one strum lol. It can be difficult. What I do is listen to CD's and try and play like they do. Of course I can't play that good but I have learned a lot doing that. And as far as the chord switching you just gotta practice a LOT. It took me a long time to get that down pat, but once you get used to it you won't even have to think about it really, and it takes no effort. Practice is key, I used to play guitar every single day until recently. I'm sure I will get back into practicing more often once I get my electric. :D
