View Full Version : Your favourite season

What is your favourite season? Mine would have to be winter. Summer comes close. I love the winter because the snow is beautiful, I love sledding... especially down the huge hill behind my house, and because of Christmas. Though I don't like getting a cold. I love winter because of the warm coziness in my house and the air humidifiers. They help to prevent me from getting a cold. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif Hmm it's so magical.

Spring for me!

Its the perfect mix of cool air and nice warm sun. I love it.
Winter comes in second because i love the cold. Summer is ok, but in Australia it can get really hot and i cant stand too much heat.
Autumn is pointless.

We have just had our first snow for 20 years.
I think I prefer the winter, big jumpers, open fires and snuggled up to the PS.
Then again, summer. Shorts, beaches and ice creams.
Oh and autumn....
So hard to choose.

Winter. Gotta love those storms blowing in from the sea and turfing up the beach.

Winter and Summer

When the seasons bother to have appropriate weather - a rare thing nowadays, in England at least - I love all of the seasons. Autumn is probably my favourite; the nights drawing in, meloncholy mists, weak sunshine over frosty forests and the smell of morning. Something about autumn just calls to me - the air seems sharper, and colours/smells/tastes/sounds just feel more...more. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Wow. I hate winter but I think I have SADS (seasonal something depression syndrome or something) the only thing I like about it is Christmas. I love summer too much which is why I learn languages and am emigrating when I graduate to a hotter country! Although saying that, this summer has been rubbish in England it always is. But I enjoy sitting out all day and in the evening having a bbq or a glass of wine in the garden or outside a bar. Hmmm it's almost over I am so sad! Autumn is OK, the trees look pretty but I don't like it when the bugs start getting cold and come in the house and I hate leaving the house in the morning in the dark and getting home in the dark, it seems like a waste of life to me! I like spring but my favourite part of the year is around June/July when the weather is getting better but there is still a lot of summer left, the kids are still at school and I can sit back with some strawberries and cream and watch Wimbledon! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Sorry am going to be slightly romantic now but does anyone else love the smell when it has been really dry in the summer and all the plants are a bit dead and then it rains and after the rain the smell of the plants coming back to life is amazing. One of lifes small pleasures.

Late spring/early summer.
Everything is green and starts to flower.
The birds are ever so busy, singing their little hearts out. (I know they are just territorial, but what a nice way of being so)
The first warm (I do not mean hot), sunny days.
The smell of the first mown grass.
An early morning rainshower and the smell of the earth afterwards.
Blue skies with a few white clouds.

I could go on for ages........
