Was just wondering what your fav weapon's are in these games...I've played them all with the exception of lost artifacts..And I honestly have to say that my fav weapons are #1 the desert eagle..It's an awesome handgun..#2 the rocket launcher...It's awesome watching the bad boy's literaly get blown to pieces..
I like the grenade launcher. but the pistols seem to "define" lara. But killing isn't my fav part anyway. just the jumping, climbing, and finding stuff. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
im afraid i still LOVE the original guns...
nothing like jumping backwards doing backflips shooting franticly those magnificent guns...
Lara shoulduse nothing else and i had a great time in TR2 finishing the game just with those guns...
i think they rock the best. Sure the desert eagle is nice and the grenade launcher and rocket launcher destructive, but firing those guns rapidly is still the thing i luv to here in the morning ;) ...
I too love the orginal guns, but the Desert Eagle is my all time weapon of choice.

My favourite "weapon" is my mind.
I enjoy Lara's mobility, exploring fascinating new landscapes and solving riddles.
What's so hot about all this shooting, especially at animals?
They may just be electronic and I like the occasional adrenaline, but I don't like to shoot them.
I prefer to shoot Lara's human attackers, because they try to murder her without warning and as the result of a conscious decision.
The "animals" defend their territory or want to assuage their hunger.
By the the way - who goes in there and keeps feeding all these animals... :D

From TR1; It would have to be the Magnums. Yes. Most definitely. Best.... Weapon.... Ever!
When playing in surround sound, volume at about 6-8, the Uzis are awesome, so is the Dessert Eagle, the M16, the rocket launcher. The louder the better. Lara's wits are killer, not to mention the set of GUNS she has!! :D :D
Definitely the Desert Eagele...it looks so cool, and 1 shot to put down a tiger...awesome!! I also like the crossbow when you use explosive ammo and the laser sight. How a bout the worst weapon? It's gotta be the harpoon gun! It's gotta be the most useless weapon ever!!!

yup,your right. It must be the worst ever, It never fires in the direction you want it to go.I allways got eaten by the sharks before I could get them with the harpoon. I now jump in and out of the water and then blast them from the side, it works fine if you don't mind waiting around a bit http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
I kinda like the shotgun! Its reload time can be a pain in close quarter battle, but other than that, it's great. Must admit though, it is fun using the grenade launcher to blow animals into sloppy chunks of red meat, heh heh.
Mmmmm, I love eating tasty animals.

My favorite weapons are the Desert Eagle and the shotgun. But I have to give honorable mention to her H&K 9mm pistols with the weight compensators. I too love firing them while back-flipping and doing various other maneuvers. Good fun.
Oh, by the way, George M, I agree with you about shooting the animals. It's quite invigorating to shoot a charging, wild animal that is hellbent on eating Lara for lunch.

I also like the gun with the laser sight in TRC as well as the rocket launcher.
Though I always wondered how Lara could do her raiding and exploring with so many guns on her. Where does she keep them all? :confused:
Good question. Her guns just seem to appear out of nowhere when she equips them. And what about all that ammo? That's one small backpack to be carrying all of those medipacks and ammo.
My favourite has to be the Desert Eagle, but I do love the crossbow with explosive ammo in TR4 and the HK gun in TRC.

I love the Desert Eagle! Blowing things to small pieces with the rocket launcher is cool too - but I rarely use it. MP5 is a cool thing too. And the Autopistols from tr2 are great! As you can see - all the weapons Lara carries are great! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/pistol.gif

Well with a girl like Lara who has a great "Caliber" meaning both her guns and the size of her... boo-- well you know. ;)
All kidding aside, I love the shotgun from TR1. It's so cool! I love the old school sound effect it makes and the power it delivers.

I love the Desert Eagle too. It makes a cool sound and Lara can blow the onrushing enemy to bits and pieces, especially Lara-eating animals. The shotgun is a very close second-highly effective especially in suprise attacks-makes ya grin when the enemy, man or beast, doesn't know what just hit them. As far as killing the animals, play the game and you shall see the animals don't want Lara to pet them! They want to kill her! PETA = People for the Eating of Tasty Animals!
My favourite is the Magnums in TR1. I love the sound they make, the look of them, they sound so powerful. I tend to use the Uzis a lot too, I love them. The Desert Eagle is great aswell.
I hate the clumsy shotgun and big ones like the M16. And the Harpoons... what's the point of them! Might as well try to kick and punch stuff underwater. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/violent.gif

I also luv the shotgun, one-shot kill point blank, you should try it sometime.
But yes, I must admit my favorite thing to do is run through an entire game on pistols... that would be: TR1, ended the game with 1000+ unused ammo
TR2, currently used very little autopistol ammo and have 1500 uzi, 800 M16, etc.

TR4, nothin but pistols, didn't even bother collecting much ammo
TR5, pistols were all you were given as far as I'm concerned ;)
Now I can't wait for her pistols in TR6, and I'm praying for soem Magnum action :D
Some might know about this already, but I use my pistols to shed some light on dark places. Instead of wasting a while flair, I just shoot off a few rounds. So...if I was a real tomb raider and you walked through a tomb after me you would see all the walls shot to hell. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Heh, who doesn't use their pistols to light up dark areas instead of flares?
My faves are the Uzis for TR2 and the Desert Eagle for TR3. I pretty much use the Magnums in the original, and Revolution and Chronicles it's the Revolvers. But the Uzis and Desert Eagle are the best weapons of all the games.

From TR4, the Binoculars' nightvision feature is also good for the lighting, especially for higher places (hidden crawlplaces on the ceiling for instance). Anyway, I don't like Flares from TR4, because they light just half than in the earlier episodes...
TR1+Gold: Uzis (although Magnums have a great sound) and Shotgun...
TR2+Gold: Uzis and M16. I like M16 because it shoots very far...
TR3+Gold: Desert Eagle and MP5...
TR4: Revolver and Shotgun & Crossbow with Explosive Ammo. And I have to mention the Grenade Gun with it's Flash Grenades... ;)
TR5: Revolver & Desert Eagle and Shotgun & HK Gun. Various for each episodes...

desert Eagle
i love it because 1 shot and mostly everyone goes down! =P
other then that i use Shotgun or Uzies
My Weapons TOP 3!
1)Crossbow with LaserSight! (TR 4)
2)Grenade gun (TR 4)
3)HK Gun (TR 5)
(I haven't played AOD...)
mine is definetly the Desert Eagle! at times i found it better to use than the Rocket Launcher! :D
i agree with phixgrrrl, i like the climbing and finding stuff more than killing things.
