View Full Version : My TWO latest renders...
First one (kind a cartoon like graphics)
Second (well no comments) http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/privateeye.gif
nice renders apofiss... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
im doing some work in 3dsmax5 as we speak... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/bash.gif
Cool! Is 3dsmax5 is based on DirectX8 or 9??? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif
well, im running DX9 (a nice 128MB Geforce4 MX440 gfx card makes renders nice and quick)... but i believe im running 3ds in software z-buffer mode... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/bash.gif
well done Apofiss ;)
yeah, the temple one looks a little cartoony, but thats not a problem - 3d artwork doesnt have to be photorealistic at all times ;) if i were You, id work on texturing. id also add some fog and volume light and some clouds in the sky would be nice too. realistic grass would make this one perfect! all in all its a nice piccie, but imo it still needs some work http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
the second one is nice too. good modeling, especially the chair and the monitors. again, id work on the texturing and lighting. why dont You try GI? faking GI is a good idea too, especially when it comes to animations.
try this (http://www.mayang.com/textures/) site, it has loads of hi-res textures (no bump maps though. Youll have to make em Yourself)
Good luck! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Thanks for site and reply TC!!! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Good work Apoffis, we all have to start somewhere.
Seams like there's a lot of people delving into gfx just lately.
Very nice work Apofiss http://mysmilies.ipbfree.com/s/otn/wink/thumb.gif
